God's prescription for a sound mind

I really appreciate the faith you have expressed here. You have encouraged my faith. One of my favorite verses is Isaiah 41:10 which says,
So do not be afraid. I am with you. Do not be terrified. I am your God. I will make you strong and help you. My powerful right hand will take good care of you. I always do what is right.
When the world around us crumbles and nothing makes sense: Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, lean not on your own understanding and he will make your path straight. God is faithful. He tells us He will never leave or forsake us. We just have to believe he is at work and is so able to take care of us.

Wow, thank you Mom of 6! Your post is such an inspiration. As a 21 year old just figuring out about Anxiety and only 2 weeks into the program your post is very comforting. I don't know how I could do this without the help of God.

I take great comfort in Isaiah 41:13 ~

Same her Live2dance. I love reading these posts. It's very inspiring.I am also learning to take every thought captive. Asking myself if the thoughts I am having line up with the word and match what the Lord says about me.

I just printed this out. I will look at this often to remind me that Satan is a liar. The mind is something he tries to control(with me anyways). He knows he can't have my soul. So this is all his got! and the thing of it is...did you know he has to ask permission from God before he tries to do anything to you...amazing.
God has ALL the power! We give up our power(God) so maney times to satan...and most if not all of the times...we don't even know we are doing it. The good news is... we don't have too.
Thank you again for reminding us all of the promises that God has given us.

There are some really great posts on this forum. I would just like to add that the devil is such a liar. He is the accuser of the bretheren. He loves nothing better than to constantly remind us of our mistakes, but there is therefore NOW no comdemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus! Did you know that in the Old Testament when someone needed to get to God the only way was through blood. He would bring his lamb without spot or blemish to the high priest, confess his sins over the lamb, then hand the lamb over the the priest. The high priest would then examine THE LAMB, not the sinner! The focus was on the lamb and if the lamb was spotless the man was accepted and forgiven before God! What an incredible picture of our Lord Jesus Christ! God is looking at the Lamb and His shed Blood, not our sins! His Blood has removed our sins, past, present, and future! Sometimes that is so hard to grasp, but God grant us the faith to really understand and believe this because it is the truth and you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free! When you are a new creation in Christ there is nothing that can touch you unless it comes through God first, and it is never meant for our destruction but for our good. He that hath begun a good work in you will continue until the Day of Jesus Christ developing that good work, perfecting, and bringing it to full completion. God has planted His LIFE in us now and He is working to comsume everything in us that is not like His Son. Those whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many bretheren. I love Romans chapter 4. It talks about the faith of Abraham and ends by saying the words, "It was credited to him for rightouesness were written not only for his sake but for us also. Righteousness will granted unto us who believe God, Who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, Who was betrayed and put to death for our misdeeds and raised to secure our justification(our acquittal, making our account balance, absolving us of all guilt before God)! Amplified translation. Wow! Meditate on that one for a while. Therefore being justified(acquitted, declared righteous, and brought into right standing with God) we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ! Well I've said enough for now. Tamara, thank you for sharing that!!! Praise God!! What a wonderful way of conveying that to all of US! Praise God the "lamb" is risen!!!

Momof6, Tammy, and to all the others who have spoken the word of God here....I need to thank all of you and second the motion!!!

I am in this thing for the long haul!!! I will not allow Satan to get me down for long...For greater is He who is in me, than He who is in this world...Amen!!!

Jesus truly is the answer to every problem we face in this life!!! I know this from my own personal experience!!!

I have believed in Jesus all of my life!!! I have known him for 21 years, now!!!

I have failed Him many times, but, He has never failed me once in all these years!!!

God is soooo good to all of us!!! It is His will that we prosper and be in good health!!!

As Robin said, "He has not given us the Spirit of fear, but of love and a sound mind!"

I looked up the word "sound" once in the dictionary, and it said "healthy"...So, God has given us a healthy mind!!!

When that negative thought pops into your head, just say...God has given me a sound mind, Satan!!! You are using the Word of God against Satan and he has to flee, since, God's word is more powerful than a two-edged sword!!!

Can you believe that God has a book of remembrance wrote in Heaven for all those who think upon His name??? Isn't this awesome???

He also sees our thoughts from afar off...The very hairs on our head are numbered!!!

He loves us with an everlasting love!!! He is able to do exceedingly more than we could ever ask or think!!!

As Robin says, "Our God is an Awesome God"
