Belief in God, but not Christian.
Hi Shifrah, I like the saying that you have on your profile.
I was also Jewish at one time, then became a completed Jew. Since that time, I am no longer Christian, but am a true believer in God, and the hereafter.
That was interesting that you brought that up.
Any way, I am dropping the whole subject, it's just not worth it. All I wanted was for all that come here to feel welcomed regardless of their religious prefference.
Nice to hear your story, and I know that at least on my part I can misconstrue what someone means at times. If I have done that then, I apologize.
Hugs,
Hally

Hi Hally, yes that IS very interesting!
See, I'm so overly-sensitive around other Jews I never even use the word completed Jew, ha ha. Around other Jews I refer to myself as Messianic, and always use Yeshua when praying. Not that I am ashamed in any way of my beliefs, but it's all about the history and persecution of my peeps that I understand. I have memories of my grandmother telling me the tattooed numbers on her arm was her phone number.
I really hope that you do feel welcome here and continue to post here.

Dear Shifrah,
I think you are very blessed to have be born a Jew, since Jesus was a Jew...I love the Jewish people...We (the gentiles) were grafted in "contrary to nature"..The Jews were blinded, so that the Gentiles (us) would have a chance to be saved (born again)...I truly believe Jesus is turning back to the Jewish people, and many of them are being saved (becoming Christians)...I think that it is AWESOME the way you pray..All born again Christians...Jew and gentile now make up the "Whole House of Israel)...Of course, this is spiritually speaking....Don't you think it awesome that when Jesus comes back..That He will be coming back to the Mt. of Olives in Jerusalem....Jesus has always loved the Jewish people...I truly believe that they are the "apple of His eye."
Have you read in the scripture where it says,"Jesus will come back to fight on behalf of his people?" Greatest True Love Story Ever Told....May God Bless You Is My Prayer...

Good morning to all including my brothers and sisters in the Lord,
This morning, after a fair review of all that has transpired on this topic and this thread, God has convicted me of several things. God recounted to me the understanding of the phrase that King David was: “…a man after God’s own heart…”
What this phrase has shown me long ago and I was not thinking about because all I saw was the justness and passion of my cause. That I failed to keep the 3 key ingredients that make for proper responses by Christians, and it is found in the book of 2 Tim 1:7. There are 3 elements that we must all ponder was we walk this journey of life as a Christian encountering all sorts of problems. Paul well counsels Timothy in the citation expressed below.
1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Let’s look at the evolution of this thread. Halley was moved by the power of love for her friend, but lacked the power of His word and the power of a sound mind. Halley, I am not saying this to be offensive, but your presentation lacked reasoned and sound thinking in light of the test, and questions you did not, or would not answer. I hope you are still following my thoughts on this.
My own presentation was made with the power of His word, and the power of a sound and reasoned thinking as well as the power of my love for Him, but not fully for others. This latter point regarding how I handled this matter is very telling of my error and Lauren rightly pointed that out.
Lauren acted out of the power of her love, for her friend and for her love for God, and at times with the power of His word. However, she did not appear to act out of the power of His sound thinking, but in that of her own emotion, that was so emotional that her presentation was not well received by those or most of us.
This is a tremendous breakthrough for me this morning, and I think as you read this and continue, we will all benefit from this object lesson He convicted me of. God knows what is in each and every one of our hearts. None of us are perfect; we are still in our weak human state. What is clear to me is that He wants me to do as David would. Remember, King David. The man after God’s own heart? This expression always implied to me that, David recognized his sinful nature and strived to please God in all he did, so when he made a mistake, and either recognized the mistake or was shown his mistake as in Psalm 51, now picture him immediately drop to his face and cry and plead for God to forgive him. Our God is a God of forgiveness and reconciliation. That is what made David a man after God’s own heart. Can you picture him spread out on the floor in the dirt, whaling like a baby, tearing his clothes and or throwing up ashes to cover himself of his shame? It almost seems to do 2 things; both make you laugh at this site, and cry for his humility.
What is God telling us in all of this? I think is, that he wants us to look deep into ourselves, recognize where we went wrong, ask for His forgiveness and the forgiveness of everyone here, that was hurt, by any remarks anyone may have made including my own, as I made those out of a sound mind, but not out of love to our brothers and sisters, and those made out of love to our brothers and sisters but not presented with a sound mind. I want to be the first to extend my hand, as best as we can here, in friendship with my heart felt apology to Lauren, and Hally. I should have expressed my love for the Lord with more love toward your feelings. Can you, find it inside yourself to accept my apology and forgive me?
I don’t take this matter lightly, as I feel a bit of the shame associated with this humbling experience; nevertheless, I come forward because that is how I feel and sense He would have me do as the expression of the culmination of the object lesson.
Thanks to everyone for their indulgence. I hope that those that were offended please step forward, and openly express the forgiveness they may or may not extend to me and others, but if you can not do so publicly, I can understand. This is a very humbling experience and it takes a lot of courage to admit that you may be or did make a mistake.
All’s well that ends well.

Thank you God, for the gift of reconciliation, that you have place at our disposal.
Thank you Lord that we no longer have to express our remorse as our lovable and enviable example that King David gives us. I don't want to tear my rags, and don't want to show off my shame or show that I feel lower than the dirt David threw up on his head.
Thank you Lord, that you cleanse us through the blood sacrifice of your precious only begotten Son Yeshua-Jesus. I lift this prayer up for the praise, glory and joy your servants give to you as we struggle to follow your precious Holy Spirit’s guidance.
Please remember Lord, that we are but dumb lambs that very often do not or cannot see exactly where you are leading us. Nevertheless, we move forward in the confidence that you can take any situation, and turn it to work together for our good.
Thank you Lord for this object lesson that you provided me in the examples you have directed me in which to act, and thanks again Lord for that wonderful gift of reconciliation.
All who agree please indicate by saying Amen! All for His praise and glory. Alleluia!

Hello Gman!
Amen. I do indeed think that you are a man after God's own heart, such as King David was.
I give thanks for your humble attutude.
And I pray that feelings will be healed.
I am sure you will be blessed!
Thank you very much.
I so admire your boldness in witnessing for our Lord. And now your humility as you do so seek to do His will.
I didn't see any lack of love in your replies but I think i understand.
I know how you would strive so hard not to be a stumbling block for any soul.
God bless you and give you rest!!!

I do believe that most all believers after Jesus' time were in fact Jewish, but after much pogroms and persecution throughout history this has reversed to the majority of the Jews not believing. This is apparent in many feasts including the Passover, in the Seder rituals. Very interesting stuff indeed if you ever want to look into it, there's a ton of history behind it all.

Hellow Gman,I know after having read many of your posts that you are a man after Gods own heart.
No, none of us are perfect nor ever will be until we,re in heaven.
I,m glad that you were sensitive to the Holy Spirits conviction to your heart as He spoke to you about your involvement in this thread.Again,I believe you are a man after Gods own heart, what you said is right, but as you said yourself, perhaps the attitude may not have been quite right.
I appreciate that in your obedience to God,in humility you,ve come forward with an apology to those who were offended. This alone demonstrates a tender loving heart.
