My friends and I get together once a week and study the Bible. Last week the discussion centered around Judas and how he betrayed Jesus. It says in the Bible that God knows what your going to do with and in your life before you are even born. Was Judas framed? Did God create Judas with the sole purpose of being the betrayer to his only Son? Did Judas go to Heaven?

Just because God KNOWS what we're going to do in NO WAY insinuates that God makes us choose what we do.

We have FREE WILL. It was Judas' choice to betray Jesus. God knew that is what Judas would do.

And as far as if he went to Heaven goes... NO ONE can answer that question. Personally I think perhaps he did not, as we do know hell is real as well. As much as we all want to feel good that everyone will get to Heaven, this is not the case.

You know, someone else also betrayed Jesus - DENIED Him, in fact. This was Peter. Peter, unlike Judas, wanted to be forgiven, did not live in despair over what he had done. God also knew Peter would do this. It was all Peter's choice, though.

It's funny how Peter is the upon whom Jesus built His church. Peter is the ROCK and holds the keys to the Kingdom.

How interesting to look at 2 lives - 2 choices made and 2 different reactions. I think this is the greatest example of HOPE that we all have. It's in the way that WE react to what we've done. We're all sinners... we suffer with anxiety and depression. We can suffer for many, many years - but there is ALWAYS HOPE!

We can make a new life for ourselves - a good life, one filled with positive thoughts, positive reactions that uplift us.

May God bless all of us struggling through our bouts of anxiety and depression!

Sister Creepy...I kinda look at Judas as someone who sold their own soul...I believe that the scripture says, " I have chosen one of you and he is a devil!" I think that this happened so the scripture would be fulfilled...I don't believe Judas found forgiveness...The Bible says that the LOVE of money is the root of all evil...I think Judas sold his own soul for 30 pieces of silver...
God Bless!!!!
