Group praying?
Thank you every one for your prayers, What a Blessing it is to come here and ask for prayer, knowing taht you all understand the ups and downs of life. I feel lighter today, I was up a few times last night as this was still on my heart. I may never know what it was, in the past I have learned, later that David had probablems at the times God has put him on my heart to pray. I know God has tied us together, for prayer. Just as we here in this group are together to pray for one another.
Thank you Sick&tired, and *D* for your kind words, and prayer. I feel lighter today, and ready to make this a good weekend, I have comepany comeing perhpas 1 perhpas 8 I don't know yet, but I am not stressing, that is "small potatoes" for "I know he wathes me, I sing because I'm happy, I sing because I'm free" Have a great weekend all of you.
The Perfect Work of Patience; by Joyce Meyer
When we have trials, we grow, or at least we can grow, if we let patience have her perfect work. <span class="ev_code_RED">But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. - James 1;4</span>
Dear Lord, Thank you for your word, you remind us of how important patience is. our lives seem to be so "right now or never" in the world today, help us to slow down, and live in the precious perfect moments of our lives, enjoying every day, because You are watching, and loveing us. in Jusrs name amen.

Praise goes to our Lord. Beautiful story, which speaks to me so much. I confess I do struggle with stepping out in faith & trusting.
I have posted in awhile, but have been reading them & praying for all of us.
I do get discourgaed so many times, & I just keep trying to remember what Joyce Meyer says "Do it Afraid". Boy easier said than done.
I have a problem of not being able to drive on the freeway, which started 12 years ago. Before that I could. Seems weird to me. But anyway I did step out last Sat. & drove a short distance on the freeway. I just kept saying do it afraid & step out in faith, the Lord will help me. He did help me. But it seems I just can't get the chains holding me to keep doing it. It is like pulling teeth. will this ever get any easier. I keep praying & seeking the Lord, I need His courage.
Just love this thread & to know other christians, who are there for each other, that is comforting.
Welcome to the newcombers, which I really am new too.
Bless each one of you today....deb.

deb,
you asked about driving and the problems that you have..brought back alot of memories..i used to be the same way as you were until, this might be long so please bear with me.
i was in the military for 22 yrs and drove a transit bus for 10 yrs and then was resident manager for a apt complex..i was going through a divorce at the same time and had skin cancer. it was like i was having anxiety and panic attacks and was afraid to go anywhere and drive and red lights ohhh boy.i would find a way around them.traffic jams oh noooo..i was going through the program and after my divorce i met this wonderful lady who is now my wife.
she had the same problem as me..but she could drive to see me 5 hrs and stop and eat.so i said why can't i.. so i took my cards with me and the relaxitation tape and off i go...that was the first time that we met...
it got easier as time went by...after we moved to north carolina and got away from all that city life and horn blowing...in 2006 i woke up one day and i was gone..as we started to attend church and pray and seek GOD for help in our lives. things started to change..i had never had someone that we could talk about anything and pray and worship together and read our bibles..that meant the world to me..
my suggestion is to keep doing it.. it does get easier..let me know how you are doing and you are in our thoughts and prayers and GOD BLESS.
CFE,
good to know that you feel lighter today..i knew that your prayers get answered too..have a good weekend and take care..

Hi everyone. Cheri...I am glad you are feeling better. I know God is hearing our prayers for you. Also.your words "I sing because I'm happy..I sing because I am free" stuck in my head all day yesterday & I kept singing aloud the song "i sing because I'm happy, I sing because I am free, His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches over me!" I know God puts people in our path, scriptures we read, posts on the internet etc, that are "just for us" when we need them. And anyway...that was "just for me" yesterday and it encouraged me thinking how His eye is on the sparrow & most certainly on His child! I have 2 requests from my dear prayer warriors today. One is my oldest stepson is in the hospital with some kind of lung infection or mass. He is only 20. They did a biopsy yesterday but we don't have the results. They think it could be fungus. He is in a lot of pain. Please pray for him & his recovery. The second is I am trying to switch medications today. My doc would like me to switch from the xanax I've been taking so long to klonopin. I took the first one this morning. I am telling myself this change is good & is supposed to be better for me. Please pray that I can switch over to this smoothly with no side effects or withdrawal from the old med. I get myself worked up about medication & I'm trying to keep a positive attitude. Thank you guys. With being out of church now because of the anxiety I am so glad I have a network of Christians online that I can share with. DEB...I also struggle with the driving thing. I can certainly relate. I just keep telling myself "baby steps" That is what Lucinda tells us...just a little at a time. You don't have to just get in your car & expect to be fine after all this time. If you are starting to work on this limitation I would suggest first going when it's not busy & going a short distance, then just add a little time as you can. I haven't tackled that one yet. But I am working on the grocery store and that is how I'm doing it. Also..my psychologist told me that your mind can't think of 2 things at one time so when you start getting panicky & thinking "oh boy...here we go" and all the other thoughts...concentrate on your favorite scripture, recite it over & over & don't let your mind wander away from it. If your mind wants to pull away to the anxious thoughts force it to go back to that scripture. Anyway...I did this in the grocery store & it did help me. Just thought I would share just in case it would help you too. Hope you all have a wonderfully Blessed Labor Day weekend!

Timing is Everything, by Joyce Meyer
Many times we want information on when, and God cannot give it because we do not have enough wisdom to handle the knowledge, We must humble ourselves and our ideas to the wisdom and power of God and trust Him when He says in His Word He will not be late one single day. He has an appointed time for everything in our lives. Appointed time simply means when He knows the time is right.
<span class="ev_code_RED">For the vision is yet for an oppointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfilment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry ,wait {earnestly} for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on it's appointed day - Habakkuk 2;3 amp</span>
Dear we so much need the gift of patience! to wait on your appointed day, for things we do not understand comes with Faith, and practice. Thank You for You Loving Grace, in the precious name of Jesus awmen.

Today at our church we had a young man trying for the position of our new "youth minister" and enjoyed his sermon very much.
One thing he pointed out to us that I felt was worth working with was that we should pray with regard to "Thanksgiving for the strength" that the Lord gives us and less that we are weak.....
Now if that doesn't fit into our "Positive Thinking"
Just thought I would share that with you.

Jesus' "Power of Attorney" by Joyce Meyer
My husband Dave and I travel a lot, and at one time we had a son at home who was a minor, He travled with us when he could, but he could not go all the time. We wanted those who were caring for him in our absence to be able to get medical treatment for him in the event it was ever needed. We discoverd that they would need a legal document stating that they had the right to use our name in our son's behalf, literaly to make decisions in our place. We gave those carling for him our "power of attorney" We could not be there in person, but we wanted to be sure that anything that needed to be taken care of in our absence could be done.
Jesus did the same thing for His desciples and ultimately for all who would believe in Him. He said, <span class="ev_code_RED">"I have to go away, but I will give you My Name. You can use it in prayer, and My father and your father will grant you whatever you ask in My Name."</span>This is the authority that you and I have been granted in His Name. What an awesome privilege! <span class="ev_code_RED">- John 14;13 AMP</span>
Dear God; Thank your for sacraficing Your son for us, With his name we can come before You under His blood rightious in your eyes, and ask You to save us, forgive us, and grant us favor, in the earth, in His name Jesus, awmen.
