Why do i feel so empty?

Hello all! This morning I felt really empty and suicidal. I've been feeling empty since I was given medication for bipolar disorder last March.(I don't believe there diagnosis) I was given advice by my spiritual confessor as to y I feel like this and he said get a job, move out , out of your parents place and start socializing more with girls but I feel that there an underlying issue with me. I haven't been working since august 2011, do u guys/ gals feel it will give me a sense of worth if I get a job and will take my mind off my worries. I feel this medication changed my character some how , its strange but I find myself always worrying about what people think of me.

Has the medication been helpful for you? May I ask your age?

I do believe God has a purpose and plan for each one of us and that brings great meaning into our lives.
