I agree with all of you....Joel & Victoria Osteen definitely has been a blessing to my life. I am reading his latest book "Become a Better You" now. He has a gift of relaying the WORD in such a practical fashion. Also, if you don't know you can watch the entire service including "praise and worship" online at www.joelosteen.com. What I like best about his sermons,is that he always starts each one with a joke... My 2 favorite Joel Osteen jokes are: (1) The husband look at his wife and said honey can I see our marriage certicate? The wife replied why? The husband said "So I can see the expiration date!" LOL... now that has to make you laugh.
(2) The second is about two christian friends who while on earth always debated is Jesus black or white. When they both went home to Heaven, they both ran to St. Michael (angel) asking can we see Jesus, because we wanna know is he Black or White. Then Jesus walk down and said "Que Paso mis amigos"! LOL...I luv this joke.

LOL Faith, My husband and I just love to hear his jokes..I especially like the one last week(my network anyway) " A southern Baptist loved to sneak away and do some horserace betting. One day He notice a priest on the track praying over an individual horse as it was lead to the track. That horse won that race. Before the next race began, that priest prayed over another horse, that horse won that race. Right before the third race began, The priest prayed over yet another horse but and than began touching the horses eyes, ears and hoofs..Immediately the southern baptist jumped up, went to the nearest ATM and bet all he had on that horse. Well, that horse keeled over...In a tirade, the angry southern baptist ran over to the priest asking him what happened, as he bet his whole life savings on the horse. The other two horses won their races after he prayed over them, what happened to this horse? The priest replied, "that's whats wrong with you Protestant's, you don't know the difference between a blessing and the last rights"...LOL I thought that was just halarious!!! It was better when Joel said it, but I'm sure you get the idea :D

Laughter is good for the soul, I believe God has a wonderful sense of humor.!!!
Peace
"O God, you are my God. Earnestly I seek you;my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is BETTER than life,my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands." Psalms 63

Everyone below is an encouraging forward I received and want to share it with everyone. It's kinda long but if you read the entire thing hopefully it will bring a smile to your face! :)

Don't Give Up! One day I decided to quit...> I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... I wanted to quit my life.> I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.> > "God", I asked, "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"> His answer surprised me...> "Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"> "Yes", I replied.> "When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them.> I gave them light. I gave them water.> > The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.> > In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said.> > "In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit.> > In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would> not quit." He said.> > "Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared> to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant...But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.> > I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."> > He asked me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots".> "I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you."> "Don't compare yourself to others."> > He said.> "The bamboo had a different Purpose than the fern. Yet they both make the forest beautiful."> "Your time will come", God said to me. "You will rise high"> "How high should I rise?" I asked. "How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return. "As high as it can?" I questioned. "Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."> > I left the forest and brought back this story.> I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.> Never, Never, Never Give up.> For the Christian Prayer is not an option but an opportunity.> Don't tell the Lord how big the problem is,> tell the problem how Great the Lord is

Joel Osteen is preaching a false message that does not comport to God's word. He teaches that we conquer things in life supposedly through Jesus, but through our human efforts. That is contradictory on its face. We cannot never conquer sin in our life through our own efforts. There may be victory for a while, but the sin remains. Victory can only be achieved when we stop trying and put our faith totally in Jesus Christ, submitting ourselves to His will, and allowing Him to dwell in us. "It is not I, but Christ, who dwells within me".

Do not be deceived. Allow God to remove the scales from your eyes. Do not follow after men in order to have your ears tickled. "Narrow is the gate and difficult is the path that leads to life and there are few who will find it". Too many people sitting in churches throughout America have been deceived into believing they are saved when in fact they are going to hell.

Read God's word and don't just take one man's word for what it says. You have a duty to read it for yourself and allow God to speak to your heart.

If you choose to follow man instead of Jesus Christ your blood will be on your hands. The trumpet of warning has been sounded and it is time to separate the sheep from the goats.
