This is how I am bringing the meaning into Easter into my home

I am going to get 13 eggs (plastic ones)
The first egg is going to have a piece of bread in it with Matthew 26:26.

The second egg is going to have a grape with matthew 26:27

The 3rs a coin and matthew 27:3

The 4th strip of leather and Mark 15:17

#5 purple cloth and Mark 15:17

The 6th thorn and matt 27:29

the 7th rooster and mark 14:70

the 8th wooden cross- john 19"17-18

the 9th nail luke 23:33

#10 sponge matt 27:48
#11 toy knife John 19:34
#12 rock matt 27:59-60
#13 empty matt 28:6

all this will tell the story of the Lord and his death and resurection from the dead. I gpt this off of the internet and thought to share it. My daughter is 7 and this way she can understand it without thinking it is just about an Easter bunny. God bless you all!

Thats beautiful Jennifier and an awesome idea. I bought an egg set similar to that from the Christian store but I believe it would have been cheaper to make it!!..I agree with you so much about the Easter Bunny. I always make my home festive for occassions but I can't not get into the Easter Bunny because I know the real definition of Resurrection Sunday...not Bunny day.

i enjoyed reading what you wrote so much. everyone thinks that easter is all about the easter bunny and easter egg hunts and all that. but we know the true meaning of EASTER.
i saw a essage on easter on tv real early this morning..HOW HE WAS CRUSIFIED AND THE CORWN OF THORNS AND THE BEATINGS AND THE PIECERING OF HIS SIDE..AND HIS NAIL SCARED HANDS..I sat and cried and was glad that HE'S ALIVE...HAVE A BLESSED DAY AND HAPPY EASTER.
