Easter Blessing
My mom e-mailed this to me this morning. May all of you find it as touching and inspirational as I:
Grace and Peace:
I wanted to share something beautiful with you today. Please read it all the way through and you shall be blessed.
The problem with many of us is that we don't believe that God will open a window and pour out blessings that we won't have room to receive them. I challenge you today to try God.
He is true to His word. God cannot lie and His promises are sure.
Three things will happen to you this coming week:
(1) You will find favor with someone you don't expect;
(2) You will be too relevant to be ignored;
(3) You will encounter God and you will never remain the same again.
My prayer for you today is that:
the eyes beholding this message shall not behold evil,
the hands that will send this message to others shall not labor in vain,
the mouth saying Amen to this prayer shall laugh forever.
Have a lovely journey of life and trust in the Lord with all your heart.
He will never fail you because He is AWESOME!
Please join me in praying this prayer:
Heavenly Father, Most Gracious and Loving God, I pray to you that you abundantly bless
my family and me. I know that you recognize, that a family is more than just a mother, father, sister, brother, husband and wife, but all who believe and trust in you. Father,
I send up a prayer request for blessings for not only the person who sent this to me,
but for me and all that I have forwarded this message on to.
Knowing that the power of joined prayer by those who believe and trust in you is more powerful than anything. I thank you in advance for your blessings.
Father God, deliver the person reading this right now from debt and debt's burdens.
Release your Godly wisdom that I may be a good steward over all that You have given me, for I know how wonderful and mighty you are and how if we just obey you and walk in your Word and have the faith of a mustard seed, that you will pour out blessings.
I thank you now Lord for the recent blessings I have received and for the blessings yet to come because I know you are not done with me yet.
In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen
Have a Blessed Easter, knowing we serve an awesome God!!!!

God works in mysterious ways. I just got so calm as I read your prayer. I went to bed last night mad and woke-up mad. I used to be so balanced-a lady looking at our house on the market happened to tell me how peaceful my house was and that she could tell it was HIS house.
2 yrs. later my husband-my love- died. I have sold that house and bought another one and there is no peace here. Well maybe a little bit-but nothing like what I used to have. I talk to God alot. Sometimes I just lose touch with HIM now.
Your prayer was so nice-I just melted and now I don't feel so mad anymore-I am hurt but-I am dealing alot better since I read your prayer. I am going to copy it-I hope you don't mind.
All HIS Blessings to you and yours,
Deb ^J^

My heart breaks for your loss. I cannot begin to understand how difficult it's been for you. I don't blame you for being mad, I would be too- but, you know what, God understands.
Back when I was in college my grandma sent me a 5X7 sketch of a young girl with her head in Christ's lap. At the top of the sketch it says, "Trust Him." Until about eight years ago I'd completely forgotten about it, but when I was going through some really difficult times, it resurfaced (interesting how that happens, huh?). Now whenever I'm struggling I imagine myself as the girl crawling into Jesus' lap and feeling His peace and comfort.
I'm glad you feel a little better; please know you're in my prayers. May your day continue to be filled with blessings.

If you ever run across that picture??? I have a friend that talks about the peace she gets from actually lying on the floor on her tummy at Jesus' feet and she lets all the "bad stuff" out. And takes the good in. Her son just grad highschool being homeschooled! She has gotten on the floor alot over the yrs.! If I get on the floor I might never get up again! I try and touch base with God while I am in the shower if my brain is scrambled it always helps. I thank him for the hot water-the nice bath things I have clean towels-usually-hahahaha no just thinking about our basic survival-it's a big deal to have all of that stuff! I know this doesn't make a diff but we could be in Kosovo. By God's grace..........Originally posted by fischee:

God's LOVE to all,
This has been very healing for me today.
I hope in some way it has helped somebody else too.
I will check back later,

There will be times when the will of God
will not be abundantly clear to us.
During thoses occasions we are expected
to retain our faith and "wait on the Lord".

I really like James Dobson (sound and logical advice). Have you ever read Max Lucado? He's my favorite devotional writer. You can check out his website at www.maxlucado.com/.

I love Max Lucado too. Dobson is helping me raise this boy! : ) I am so glad I had his book about adolescence when the time came for my son to ask me about certain stuff. The book is also written so the teens can read it for themselves too. So, I gave my son the book and then later a couple of times he asked me for it! hahahaha Thankyou Dr. Dobson! I have his Bringing Up Boys too-a great help on discipline. Then my daughter brought me his When God Doesn't Make Sense for Christmas last yr. I really enjoyed Max Lucado's-When God Whispers Your Name and The Applause of Heaven. There for awhile his books were a mainstay for me and my daughter. She is 34- 20 yrs.and 1 day older than my son. She and I grew up together. Yes, those are 2 great men Dobson and Lucado. We are fortunate to have them in our lives. When I got married to my late Husband we got a daily devotional calendar at our shower. I still read it everyday. It has quotes by James Dobson and scriptures relating to his quotes. I will never forget looking at it the day after my Husband died. That was the one I posted today. The scripture ref is Ephesians 5:10
It was clearly what I needed to hear on that day because I could not understand-here's that word again-Why? God took my Love-he was a good Christian man-a wonderful Husband and Father. He would go out of his way for anyone who asked him for help.
Dobson says, the most successful marriages are the ones where both husband and wife seek to build the self esteem of the other!
From his book Straight Talk To Men and Their Wives
My son just let me know I wasn't marking the quotes-I said at this time of day/night I can barely type let alone mark anything-at least I did use caps! ahahaha
I quess I will close for tonight.I found someone to come and help me with my house work tomorrow. I really do need it right now.
Blessings to all, Thanks for being here.

PS one more note----when I posted that I had 15 yrs. and today sober I was cheatin myself out of a couple yrs.! It's 17 yrs. and today! hahahahaha
Scripture ref-Ephesians 5:31
