After reading a very moving-victorious post this morning, I had a thought occur to me. I've heard it said before, however, I never really "thought" about it or applied it to my life. I know it's worth sharing it to you all, and I hope it brings comfort and realization.
Sometimes we have to hit rock bottom, with no where else to look but UP..and it's then and only then that we truley begin to understand God and his saving grace! Perhaps that's where we needed to be right at that moment? "for every season, there's a reason"? hmmmm... It doesn't always feel good, but just maybe for our own good?
Okay, I'm just rambling on now... But this is where my thoughts are at the moment. Can anyone relate???
End of my storm..
"O God, you are my God. Earnestly I seek you;my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is BETTER than life,my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands." Psalms 63
My marriage nearly ended because i did something terrible. It was only then, when my husband nearly left me, did i realize what i was about to lose. I felt at rock bottom and i had no one else to blame besides myself and no one to turn to. God gave us both the strength encouragement and love to see past the sitsuation and see how much we love each other and can't let that go. We have grown so much closer since then.
So, to your question, YES, and when you crawl out from beneath the rubble, you can begin to see the sunlight again!

Very inspiring. You should read Beth Moores book Get Out of That Pit... It is awesome. If you are not familiar with her she has an amazing ministry, her writings and bible studies are so profound, yet entertaining. This book kind of shows us all the ways we get into the pits in our lives, and how to deal with them. She explains there are three ways in a pit we can get thrown in, we can accidentally slip in, and the worst we can jump in. It is a cool book, and it makes you think. I have a copy Id be willing to share.
