Eternity Is In Your Heart

Today's Scripture

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men's hearts and minds, a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy (Ecclesiastes 3:11 AMP).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

God has placed eternity in the hearts of mankind. Everything we experience not only serves a purpose here on earth, but it serves a purpose for eternity. Right now, God is working in you and putting inside of you everything you need to fulfill your eternal destiny. He is making you ready to rule and reign with Him. As long as you are moving forward and gaining strength, you are gaining eternal victory.

View what’s going on in your life with an eternal perspective. You have a higher calling; you have a greater purpose. Focus on what God is doing in your life. Don’t allow the little irritations to get you off course or distract you from what God has called you to do. Open your heart and mind and allow Him to prepare you for eternity. As you keep an eternal perspective and stay determined to be who God has called you to be you will see His hand moving in your life and you will live as an overcomer now and throughout eternity.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for placing eternity in my heart. Help me stay focused on things that have eternal value so that I can live to give You glory. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
"O God, you are my God. Earnestly I seek you;my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is BETTER than life,my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands." Psalms 63

Hello Mom of 6,

My first time responding directly to you, but I have found your posts uplifting with the Word of God.

I just finished a book that I would like to share with you, called 'Conversations with C.S. Lewis' by Robert Velarde.

I have always loved C.S. Lewis and his arguments for God and Christianity, and this book- though not written by him- captures what I believe is the aura of Mr. Lewis.

One passage that sticks out in my mind, is about the longing that we feel on earth. Alot of people will fill this longing with cars, or clothes, or stuff...but for some reason this wanting or needing is never filled. This book discusses that what we are really longing for is a return to a TRUE spiritual home in heaven. Only there will we find the everlasting peace that we all seek.

Now, I don't believe that peace is not possible here on earth, but it brought comfort to me to know that this longing inside of me to "go home" may, in fact be the true longing...a spiritual longing for Christ.

Amen to that!!! my focus has changed dramatically over the last two years. I thank God for anxiety, really.. If it not be for this affliction, I wonder if I would have been drawn to God in such a way?? He works in mysterious ways..NO I don't believe that God created my anxiety(fear IS NOT of God) however, I do believe that he is being glorified and praised as an outcome of anxiety..if that makes sense??? I know that my ultimate desire is to meet him someday knowing that I made it! I am willing to go through WHATEVER it takes, to finally UNDERSTAND and LIVE Gods holy instructions..faithfully, ferverently!!!
Peace be with you, and God bless
Robin
