I am in college and have been through alot in the past year. All negative things that dont need to be discussed. I am here to write all positive. I have found buddism and it's teachings amazing. Our conditions are not just a mind condition. It is also a spiritual condition as well. I am not buddist--I am actually catholic..but I have found GREAT relief in a peace of mind approach the buddism has to offer. Also I have read "The Secret" and it is an amazing book. God Bless!!!!

Hi soccer18, I am interested in where you learned about Buddhism- books, a person, etc? I am drawn to Buddhism. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Cuttinggirl

You might want to start with Pema Chodron, a Buddhist/American Monk who writes many wonderful books. She is very popular for her easy going approach. Buddhism is known for being a forum for deepening spirituality from many religious backgrounds. It's principles of meditation can be incorporated into any belief.

Pema has written many books for approaching Anxiety, Depression and Stress through Meditation and Buddhism.

I hope you find strength and joy!
