Hi All,
Just last month, after receiving the program, I came to terms with the fact that I have OCD. At first this was comforting. I read The Imp of the Mind and got a lot of answers. I realized I wasn’t a sick terrible person. I just have OCD. I really thought I was a crazy terrible person. For over a year I didn’t really tell anyone about my terrible thoughts that haunted me. Even though I have the program and books I still feel like I need some extra help. I am really worried when I read other peoples posts about therapy and meds but I think I would at least benefit from therapy. I don’t think it could hurt.
Does anyone have any thought about meds and therapy? Is there anyone who benefited even a little from either one?

Hi Jacquelin,
The combo of meds and therapy is considered by many, many psych professionals to be best way to deal with OCD, depression, anxiety and even the more serious mental ailments.
Some people prefer just doing one or the other. It's up to you and your therapist/psychiatrist which is the best route for you.
If you're going for therapy for OCD, make the sure the therapist specializes or is well-versed in obsessive scary thoughts.
Take care!
