Hey Wayne,

Take a break from everything, go for a walk, play a game on the computer, watch a sitcom, or movie that's funny, call a friend to go for a coffee (decaf if caffein bothers you)listen to relaxation cd for at least 30 minutes..i do 45 if feeling stressed and it does clear my head and I feel relaxed once again. You are taking in a lot and maybe too much at one time. Slow down. Do anything you really enjoy...tell yourself these are just thoughts and let them float away, they are in the way but you are letting them stick around. You really ned to clear your mind...somehow.

Hope there was something usefull and you get past this.

Well Wishes

I'm new. I have OCD also and it can be very unsettling. I try to read, watch tv, and try to ignore the thoughts. I just started this program and I am trying to think good, happy thoughts and hope and pray God will let me let the bad thoughts go. I don't know if you are religious or not, but the only thing that gets be out of bed since my problems started again this year are that "I can do ALL things through Christ which strengtheneth me" I hope this helps you. If you are not religous, you know you were put here for a purpose and you just have to believe that you will get through this. Ignore the bad, it takes me alot of focus right now and I am struggling, I cry alot, my thoughts are very disturbing to me and very scary, I try to offset them with good thoughts,(not able to replace them yet, but keeps me hoping),try to get in the moment, I hate that "spacey" feeling and I have been feeling that way most of the time since march of this year. I hope and pray for all of us that we will win and be successful with this program. We really can control our thinking, I have gotten in the bad habbit of letting my bad thoughts control me, so I have to really work at this. Keep working, they will go away I am 40 and have been in this bad thinking "trap" 3 times now. I know I can get through this again and you will too. I am excited about this program and we just can't EVER give up. Did you ever watch any Rocky movies? "Eye of the Tiger" Set your mind on your goal, focus, focus, focus, we will win. It is possible and probable for us all to win and WE WILL, we have to, we deserve it. It may be hard, believe me, I know that, we can do it. Try to find something fun to do to be really excited about, that helps me to keep my bad thoughts too close. Its hard to be excited and scared at the same time. This has helped me. If you're like me, I'll try anything possitive to help myself that I hear of. Don't be discouraged, I have good days and bad days. We all do, you are NOT ALONE. Hope some of this helps you. I am working hard with my obsessive fear, I won't give up! Don't give up, ever!
