Feeling sad about conflict

You can get EXACTLY what you want out of most any situation if you only think before you react. After building these skills, your anger will work FOR you instead of against you.

The world would be such a better place if people weren't so angry at each other all the time. I love my job but I hate working with people who are always complaining about something. It is so much more pleasant to work with people who are pleasant to everyone. People just need to lighten up. I want to help my support staff but how can I help them when they treat me like I am a jerk. I get yelled at and I even heard her call me a jerk under her breathe. It hurts me so badly because I do value her opinion of me and I think I am a very fair person. I try so hard but I feel like she acts all irritated with every decison I make. This is hard on me because I have a difficult time making decisions as it is. I really need her support but how do I get it. How can I show her that I am on her side.

Some people are just the type that nothing is ever good enough. You should tell her how you feel and tell her that you aren't trying to be mean or a jerk and I would use that word to let her know that I heard her. I would tell her that you need her support and that everyone is there to work and you would like it to be as plesant as possible. There are some people that don't ever seem to be happy though so the only thing you could do is tell her how you feel. Maybe she is having a hard time at home and it is coming off the wrong way. She might not even realize that she is doing it. I think talking is always the best answer because that is how you can work things out professionaly. God bless and I hope this helps.
