Hi everyone,

Things for me haven't been the greatest concerning my anxiety. Though the reasoning for it is a simple one.

I was going on session 4 (now on session 6) at the time and boy was I doing fantastically. I wasn't nervous/anxious all the time, I was no longer falling asleep at 8 in the AM, but instead at decent hours. My family and I moved into a new house, and moving was always a tremendous fear of mine. Honestly, probably my second biggest fear next to death. I was able to face that and conquer it. I drove home from out of town for the first time also. It was all so pleasantly overwhelming to me.

WELL, recently I received a message online from a production company that wanted one of the songs I had written on a CD compilation they were doing. The problem was that I only had 5 days or so to finish and send in the song. I rushed and rushed to get it done on time. In the end I managed to do just that, but not without loads of anxiety, feelings of failure, and my first panic attack in weeks. (I only felt as if I failed because I thought that the song would not be good enough :u/ )

Now two weeks later I am off track with the program and doing horribly compared to previously. It is getting harder it seems to get back on to doing things as I should. I suppose I just need some words of encouragement and to remind myself of how well I was actually doing before all of this took place two weeks or so ago.

Thanks to everyone who reads this, your time is very much appreciated.

Peace & Love

Hey, Dustin! It sounds like just a minor setback, that was a lot of pressure to have 5 days to complete a song for production. But step back and look at it----YOUR song was chosen for a CD!! That is an amazing accomplishment, congratulations! Sounds as though despite anxiety, you are making your own dreams come true with your music. I am incredibly impressed reading your posts, you are wise beyond your years.

Pick up where you left off on the Program, even jump back one session if need be. Most of us have stopped and started a few times, and it is normal. Setbacks happen, and we get past them because we have more and more tools to deal everytime it happens, until soon they are not happening anymore.

You are doing great, and have a beautiful, bright future ahead!!!!

Hugs, Tara

CONGRATULATIONS DUSTIN, ON THE CD!

Don't worry. Just start at where you left off. You'll be fine. You did good. Sometimes other things in life will cause us to slow down with the program a little. You will be amazed at how easily it is to "blend right in" again. :)
