Hello. I wanted to recommend a great book for anyone suffering from depression. It's called, Unstuck, by Dr. James Gordon. It parallels a lot of what Lucinda says, and has some great add'l advice. I have gotten so much out of it.

Thank you for the info. This forum has been really helpful for suggestions on books and cds. It's always good to get personal recommendations.

How funny. I bought this book and sent copies to my friends around the time I began this program. I read it, and it's a good one. I thought so much of it I posted it under the recommended books forum here. No one read my post and, therefore, no one commented on it, so I let it stay about a month then deleted it.
It is generally similar to this program. I especially enjoyed the partial case history pages, and was pleased when Dr Gordon referenced of a couple of books I read many, many years ago: Tao Te Ching by Lao-tzu, and When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chodron. Mary is the only one who recognized Pema Chodron (thanks Mary):

Thank you for mentioning Gordon's book. I was beginning to think my reading selections were as obsolete as me :D

As long as I'm recommending books no one wants to read, here is another excellent book:

Pecos - You can leave the recommendations on there for me! I go over some of the really old posts and find things I've missed before. Especially the book and cd recommendations.

Mary, have you read Peace is Every Step ? That was one of the first books I read more than a dozen years ago which put me on the meditation path. Good, good book.

I will write this down so I don't forget. I have many books and a lot on the tao and meditation but don't have this one. Thanks.
