Well, i have had a problem lately with not enjoying almost everything in my life. Does anyone know what i mean? I used to love skiing and i still like it but i worry about the bus ride to get there and i won't eat once im at the lodge so it pretty much ruins the weekly trip, making me almost dread something i loved only a year ago. Also there is the possibility of taking a trip to Florida soon and i feel awful because all of the arrangements have been made and i can't even get excited about it. Why is this happening?? and what can i do to make it better?

You sound depressed. Anxious people tend to have some depression too. That also goes for depressed people having some anxiety. Doing the program will help with that. As you feel better your desire for the things you love will come back. There's so many feelings going on inside of you right now. You will be alright. You'll get those good feelings back.

That is exactly why I am here. I don't enjoy life right now. I can't wait to start feeling better so I can do the things I used to love so much. If you listen to the first session, there are two people there that had that problem, and since they have completed the program, are traveling and doing the things they love. Both say they can't believe they used to be the way they are. So keep with the program that's one of the things we are here for. Together we are all going to start enjoying life again. An again I can't wait for that.

Hi! I agree with deedee00 that you sound like you are depressed. I have dealt with depression most of my life and find that over the last 9 years I have slowly isolated myself and have lost an interest in anything. But I'm on some meds that are helping and I'm working with a daily schedule that includes some time to practice meditation. Slowly I am finding things that I can enjoy again. Perhaps you could visit your doctor to explore the possibility of taking an antidepressant for awhile.

Hang in there!! The poster of the kitten hanging on a branch for dear life comes to my mind. I think we can all relate. Things will get easier and enjoyable. Start that 15 week countdown!
