Anyone starving for compassion?
It seems like a little would go a long way for me. Whenever I reach out to people, it's rare that I find someone who understands. Lonliness is a major symptom of my depression. A cousin told me I was feeling sorry for myself. My mother-in-law acted as if my miscarriage was no big deal...it happens to alot of women.
I think if there were alot more compassion for us who suffer from depression, we could heal alot faster. It would give us strength. Sometimes when I'm depressed my husband doesn't want to be around me. I feel shunned. He ask's "are you gonna be in another bad mood today"? That hurts so much.

Bless your heart, Glowbug!
I know what you mean. It is as if no one really cares.
But I suppose they don't understand.
Whatever........
It sure would feel good just to have someone want to be in our company.
Perhaps I am getting on my pitypot.
Yet I do feel that there is a terrible lack of compassion in this world.
I believe there is a great lack there.
But on here, you will find folk that care. Maybe because they have suffered.
I care. And I hope you feel better soon.
I once heard a speaker say that loneliness is the greatest disease in America , or the world for that matter.
Just hang in there.
God bless!

all of those people who don't understand us, probably are to busy analizing us. I also had a miscarriage from my husband, we never tried again and my mother in-law pretty much said get over it. I did but she also hinted when are we going to try again, I am happy with the way things are with me and my life, I used to live for my husband and everyone else, but I finished the program, and hunny we only live once. God wants us to live it to it's fullest Love yourself and always, i mean always put you first. My husband comes second, We meet halfway on decisions. as for me I lost my child, I would had been a great mother for that child and who knows in the future if i decide to have a child there are plenty who need homes, I will adopt, God has a plan for all of us, and theres a reason we lost our baby's, honey, I am lonely too. I read, I try to keep myself busy, but I will not go back where I was before I started this program, I love myself to much........ take care glowbug and remeber, GOD HELPS THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES.

I thought it was just me. WEll not really, but this seems to be common for a lot of us. My wife does her best, but she can't understand what will help me feel better. When she tries it just feels and sounds gratuitous, if you know what I mean, insincere. I understand what you are saying. And you're right, with more understanding and compassion the quicker we respond and recover.
