Effexor
Kelly,
I take Effexor (well the generic version
I have found it very helpful in my ongoing recovery. If you feel you need to take medication that is your decision (and your doctor's) so do not let anyone make you feel bad because of it:)
Theside effects you mentioned are listed for various anti-anxiety and anti-depressant medications. If you are on a medication right now and these side effects are troublesome, talk to your doctor. If you are going to change mediations always do it with a doctor's supervision. Best of luck to you

Effexor "helped" me for a while. Once I started menopause, the medication no longer worked! I also used atevan to suppress attacks. The atevan no longer worked at the onset of menopause either! I am now working with a brilliant Naturopath using homeopathy and vitamin/herb supplements. I continue to consult with my "traditional" doctor who is in full support of my decision to pursue alternative methods. Interrupted sleep continues to be a "challenge" w/out traditional medication - night sweats - fatigue adds to my anxiety level as I learned in the introductory DVD!
Hoping this program will help!

I'm on Effexor as well. I'm currently at the highest dose my doctor will give, that is 225mg/day. My depression is gone but I still take Effexor for panic attacks and GAD. I've been on it for years though and can't exactly say when it started helping but it does help me.
One thing you have to remember is that medication alone seldom helps us 100%. We gotta do the hard work ourselves through positive thinking, meditation, exercise and healthy eating. It's hard but the medication should help just don't expect it to do all the work.
Good luck to you.
