Like MC Grace said...don't be too hard on yourself. It takes awhile to get lesson 3. The thought replacement takes time to become believeable and that's just fine. I mean you are changing your habits around and your ego is trying to protect you and keep you in your safe zone which right now is negative thinking. Think of it this way...how many attempts does a baby take when it learns to walk? does the baby do it perfectly the first time around? We're all like babies in this sense...we cannot do things perfectly in the beginning and thats ok...as long as we keep trying we will get to where we want to go and we open ourselves up to so many more options when we do master this....just like a baby opens it's life to many new options like running, dancing, jogging...etc.
If you're having a hard time replacing a negative thought, you are more than welcome to make a new thread and show us your attempt at replacing the negative thought and get some advice from the people on this website.
One more question for you brandie...You said you didn't know what to write in your journal. If you knew the answer to this question then what would you do?

JOURNAL ENTRY 9-10
Well, this is my last journal entry. . . . For awhile at least. I hope to continue to journal, but I plan to do so in a more general format (blog?) in order to help accomplish some of my other goals.
I've found that I need to write more. I want to write on a variety of subjects, including stress management. And I want to do that in a way that is compatible with "social networking" sites -- I believe this may help me build my resume -- and help me with some other things that will help me with grad school.
So thanks for reading . . . and please know that I also plan to do a "thanksgiving list" (on the order of what I've been doing here) in my head, at least, sometime during the day/before I go to sleep, as a consistent form of journaling in the spirit of Lesson 3.
THANKSGIVING #1
The quiet hours at home, today, allowed me to feel especially peaceful and productive.
THANKSGIVING #2
I made good eating choices.
THANKSGIVING #3
I found a good book to help me process some of my employment questions (Take This Job and Love It! by Diane Tracy.
Tic marking (about 12 in 3hrs)
