struggling with depression
Good to see you starting the program. Personally, there is no shame going to a doctor and getting his support along with this program. I strongly suggest you try to exercise at least 3 times per day, get enough sleep (GNC, Vitamine shops) have ways to help, do the readings, watch the videos and listen to the CDs and do the relaxation - just as recommended by Lucinda. It really works.
jennkatz - I deeply feel for your losses and know they are devastating to you. Find some specific help for your grief, and give yourself time to work through it. Would you be ashamed or embarrassed to see a dentist for a bad tooth ache or your doctor for a crippling injury or pain? Make the call and talk to your doctor. He/she is part of your recovery team. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I have struggled with epression most of my life and did a good job hiding it out from my freinds and family. I have 3 children by 2 marriages and know the depression and anxiety I deal with caused them both to fail. I am raising 2 of my children now and have been really struggeling with depression and anxiety and am very afraid for my children because they see that dad is not functioning like he use to /about 10 years ago I was brought out of depression with medication. It was great and wonderfull/first time I was not depressed or anxious in 40 years. I have fallen back in and am very afraid and worried I started the program on May 17th 2009 and am hoping that this could be of help to me. I am back on meds but nothing seems to be working. My social arena is non existant as well as my friends. Depression and anxiety truly has recked my life and know could very well affect my kids..Please help I need support from all who feels they can. Thank you
