Hi Galaxie:
Happy New Year!
Someimtes it seems like our posts are overlooked. But most of the time they are not.
But many times a post will go unanswered. When that happens the poster will just move on and post something else. As we start healing a bit, we won't feel so slighted when our posts get no responces. We come to understand that it is not personal.
Your responce to Mr Cleveland was very good.
We can all benefit from your insights.
Just keep posting. You may post something that is just what someone else needs to hear. And you might find that you have more support than you imagined possible.
It takes awhile to get comfortable with ourselves and with otheres.
I pray that you have a good year ahead encouraging others and being encouraged.
Happy New Year!
MJ

galaxie, some people are so deep into depression and a negative focus that it matters so little what others say or attempt to help. Makes us wonder why people ask for help in the first place if they aren't even going to accept any kind of hand up.
Please don't take it personally. I do understand, it's just plain good manners to acknowledge those who attempt to help us, it took them a few minutes to give us encouragement what is a thank you response that took 30 seconds to post.
A lot of this is just learning that we can't expect everyone to act like us or act like we expect them to. I've done that for so long, now I'm trying to work on letting stuff like that go and move on.
Cornflower, I didn't see anything offensive to apologize for on my end here. Sometimes we don't know how hard to push to get through to someone. We aren't sure if a gentle or firm approach works. I always like your approach, and knowing that you are a sensitive being, I can't see any errors in anything you write. You write from the heart and a sound mind, I love that and please don't stop doing it!

Thanks, Shifrah.
You are a dear.
But there is a ;verse in Proberbs about our answers.
Proverbs 12:25
"Anxiety in the heart of a man
causes depression,
But a good word makes it glad'. (NKJV)
There are times when a person needs a sharper word to kind of bring them out of themselves.
When I was very deeply depressed some years ago and was in group therapy, the counselor would try to annoy me just to get me into some cummunicative mode. I was so depressed that I was like a log.
But I doubt that I'm skilled enough to admisister any kind of 'shock language" (whatever) to bring someone out of a deep depression. I better stick to trying to be kind. I can be a real stinker. I need to practice self-discipline.
Anyway, thank you for your very kind words.

Today really sucked. My boss yelled at me for not doing a good job (And I'm about to quit if he does that to me one more time), the family car broke down so I had to ride on Public Transportation while my parents had to walk and get the other car, and still...my 90-year-old grandma is in the hospital.
God...where are you and why aren't you doing anything about it?

Hi Mr Cleveland!
That is the pits! It is nerve-wrecking to get yelled at.
But our temps got up to 54 degrees this afternoon! That was so nice!
I ride public transpertation also. I had to let my car go last Feb.
My city is getting 8 new busses this month.
And that is nice. Not a lot of people ride the bus. But I found out it is a good way to meet some people and make a few more friends. You see I live alone and it is just good to get out.
My parents and grandparents are all passed on.
But I know that God is still in charge. The good book tells me that it rains on the just and the unjust.
Today is the 6th. This day one year ago I had surgery for breast cancer.
Now I'm all healed and well! I like that!
If I don't like one day, I just wait. Cause I know that nothing stays the same. Every thing changes from day to day.
It is gonna be very cold tomorrow for both you and I.
But just think, in a couple of months we'll be seeing little flowers around. Perhaps for you some little crocus. For me some little forgetmenots will be painting the pastures blue.
I'm so glad you wrote, Mr Cleveland!
I'll be looking for more posts!
Stay warm!!

Most of them may be depressing, but right now my world is on fire and I'm very frustrated.Originally posted by Cornflower:
