My anxiety attacks are sooo extreme that i hit myself i get so angry, i cry and scream and hit myself and think about takeing knifes and scared one day its going to be knifes insted of fists. I just feel like i want to stab eveyrone or punch sonmeone. I also feel like i can take a drill and then cut out my brain wish i could get a new one........mad and depressed i need a new brain

I hope I am not too late. GO TO A HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW!!! Things get VERY bad very fast. I have severe panic and chronic depression. You need imminent help. You will be taken good care of in the hospital if you go voluntarily. DO NOT HURT ANYBODY. There will be no turning back from that. You are crying out for help so go get it right now. You will feel better in time BUT only if you get help!!!!!!!!!!
ariadenise,
Have you been able to use the relaxation tape that comes with the program? Slowing your breathing can stop those attacks in their tracks. Anxiety can quickly become a downward spiral, as you have already discovered, because you get scared or angry when you're anxious and that makes it worse.
Anger is also covered in one of the sessions. I can tell you from personal experience that when you learn why you're so angry, you can turn that around. When you get mad again, try a punching bag instead of making yourself into one. It sounds like you have a lot of pain. No sense in beating on yourself for that.
And I agree with Joe V. If you feel that you can't control those feelings and you want to hurt yourself or someone else, check yourself into the hospital. Hang in there, and keep writing on these forums. There are lots and lots of people who understand your pain here.
Wouldn't it be great if we could take out our brains and shake them out? My friend says we have ugly toys in our attics. With time and patience, you can learn to be your own best friend. Please don't hurt yourself. There really is hope.
