I just realized that I really do not have standards when it comes to relationships. I like to just jump in head first and always think that he, whoever he may be is "the one!" ALWAYS setting myself up for failure, depression, disappointment, and heartache.
I don't know how to go slow, but this time Im gonna get it right. I kind of pushed a good guy away, but He isn't ready. He is getting over a divorce and I believe God made this all happen because he knew that I really needed to get my head right and set some standards for myself!!!!
I refuse to go after a man as much as I always did, I refuse to chase after a man who is emotionally unavailable. Im sad, but I now this is all for the best. I need to work on myself. I need to stop looking to a man to find my inner happiness. I always give great advise but can never seem to follow it!
Any thoughts ladies???? THANK YOU!!!
Setting standards for myself
CG...I think I would take this time to focus on the program!!! Once you have learned the skills, then, I guarantee your outlook on life will change, also. You need to work on your self-esteem, and allow the guys to chase you for a while!!!!
You will become sooo independent, that you will care less!!! You will be able to fill up your moments, and become sooo spontaneous!!!! You will learn how to be content in your own company!!!
I guarantee the guys will start chasing you, then, and you will probably not give them a second thought.
When the right guy comes along, you will know it in your heart. He will be your soul mate!!!
In the meantime, I suggest you focus all of your attention on this program, and getting out and taking action...God Bless!!!

One thing this program teaches is lowering your expectations. It doesn't sound right when you first learn about it, but then you come to realize you aren't let down about anything. I don't remember which session it is - one of the earlier ones. I think it's a great philosophy - you will not disappoint yourself and others won't disappoint you nearly as much when you have lowered expectations. You also end up getting a lot more out of life when you don't over-expect everything to happen.
I was always scared to be in a relationship because i always thought something was going to happen to me i was dying so why bother or no one would ever want to date someone who was screwed up.But I feel more in control now thank god to the program and now Im happier than ever with the love of my life .But I still am working on being anxiety free. Its all about trust
