Another low
I too sometimes get angry with God and I sometimes want to give up on Him. But I haven't yet. I am very depressed sometimes and I feel that God is helping me get through the depression. I know He answers my prayers and He will help me get my ideas across to other people. I hope you reconsider giving up on God. He will help you if you put your faith in Him. He has helped me alot and He will continue to help you. Contrary to some of the postings I have read, I do not believe that strong arm tactics are the way to get someone to reconsider what they said about God. That being said, I hope you will give God another chance as He will come running toward you if you come toward Him.
Hi Mr. Cleveland,
I do know how you feel. In fact, Christ had the same feeling of abandonment as he bore our sins to die a death we, and not him, deserve.
I wrote a poem the other day that has a similar expression of a sense of abandonment. But as I look at the cross and death we all deserve, I get is a sense of nothing but gratitude for the sacrifice my Lord made of taking down all the barriers to reconciliation with God the Father.
Perhaps you cannot understand what is going on now, but I do empathize with you in your pain. Pick up your Bible and ask yourself how did the Psalmist that wrote Psalm 22 and 69 know the fate that Jesus would suffer?

These Psalms were written hundreds of years before these very things happened. Coincidence?

No other being in heaven can fully enjoy God's creation; no one but us. For good, bad or indifferent, it is our garden to do with as we choose, and it is here for us to make the most of this life, or spend our time lamenting our own creation. Jesus, already did the heavy lifting, and is ready to answer your prayers, release what ever bad thing(s) you're holding that is keeping you from receiving His blessings. "Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors" many people utter these words but they think they are just words. Wrong!
Is there someone you have to forgive or ask forgiveness from? Do that first then come to Him with clear conscience and your sacrifice of praise and raise your prayers so that He may hear and answer your prayers and you can receive His blessings. Many people do not understand this, but this wisdom is in the Bible. Avail yourself of this wisdom! We have all been down this path at one time or another.
Sorry, I could not sugar coat this anymore than I did. The Bible is full of stories of this same sense of abandonment, but then there is a huge triumph at the end. Don't give up! He will rescue you from the mire you find yourself in, and in the future you will back on these events and realize that you are like that pup on my avatar. You'll look back at this time and realize He was carrying you and you didn't realize it.

Mr. Cleveland,
God does not always answer prayers in our time...Remember, God does not have a calendar in Heaven!!!! I know He hears your prayers, and He will answer them when you least expect it, and in the most unexpected ways!!!
Keep looking up, and do please do not give up on God. He never gave up on you when He was walking up Mt. Calvary and was beaten with many stripes for the healing of your body. He did not give up, when He was hanging on the cross!!!!
God does answer prayer...Hold firm to your faith!!!! He will answer in His way, and in His time!!!!
I pray this helped...God Bless
