negative thoughts mostly about myself, sometimes about others
I assume worst outcomes. I often automatically presume I did something wrong. I don't exactly exude self confidence (understatement). I've been trying to write a stroke for each negative thought to help me boost my awareness. So I am becoming more aware...I still get down on myself and beat myself up for not doing things getting things done, etc. I truly want to help myself. Not sure where I go from here.
Hi. I've said this so many times before, but it is true and worth repeating: the process is cumulative and change will occur. You will gradually notice little things. Something in your everyday life that always bothered you suddenly isn't important. You will pause and think about it. Why didn't that bother me? It always did before. The reason is because your ways of thinking are changing and that will change your attitude, your behavior, your life. Be patient and stay with it because you cannot help but change if you work each week as it is intended to be worked. Best to you.
Maryet, Pecos is so right. You will notice small changes as you go through the program. The fact that you are becoming aware of your negative thoughts is a step in the right direction. I'll bet you never even thought about how many negative thoughts you had before the Program. Keep at the Program, it will work for you. I have recently finished the Program, but I still work at the positive self-talk and turning negatives to a positive all the time. It is getting easier, but it is still work. Hang in there and good luck to you.
