I was wondering if anyone has body symptoms of depression? Body aches, weight loss, a little loss of appetite and so on?

Your doctor should be giving you the information you require as to your depression. If you are just curious, some body symptoms include, but are absolutely not limited to, weight loss, or weight gain; muscular agitation; fatigue; generalized pain. These are also symptoms of a lot of other things. Please see your doctor.

Dear Kodiak
I have had symptoms of depression, and I still have them when I become very blue and anxious. I have very little appetite, (I eat because I know I should), I tend to lose weight, I don't feel like doing anything, I ruminate about how I am feeling (with no answers),I feel hopeless, like each day is the same as the next and I feel like I am just slogging through each day, and I wake up early each day, and can't get back to sleep, even though I may need it. You are not alone. I am sure that a lot of us feel this way.. The difference for me now is that eventually, I get going and do the things that I know will help me, i.e. the things recommmended in the program. I hope this helps.

Dear Kodiak
I should have included the most prominent symptom that I have, and, that is, I feel like I have a nervous, anxious "knot" in my stomach. I think that is what contributes to the loss of appetite and the subsequent weight loss.

Dear Kodiak,
Depression is not an easy thing to go through, Usually, I'm a pretty happy person, but because I'm going through a divorce right now, I am also depressed. My symptoms are they knot in the stomache like the previous person said, and I either eat too much or sporadically. I also tend to not do much but drive around. I know that sounds funny, but when I'm depressed I just want to be by myself so I sometimes will drive around in my car and try to cheer myself up.

Thank you all. I'm sure most of the symptoms I'm getting are from the depression/anxiety and hoepfully with spring time coming they will get better. It sure seems like every winter is longer and harder to get through. I think we all need the nicer weather so we can get outside and do something fun. I'll probably go to the doctor sometime soon if the symptoms don't get better.

Thanks again everyone, it all helps!!!
