Does anyone know of any face to face support groups. The worst part of all this for me is the isolation and loneliness. Someone posted a message about a group with Recover in the name and I saw that they had a group in my city(New Orleans). If anyone knows anything about this group or any other I would appreciate the info. I pray for everyone who is working on this program and all others who are suffering as we are. thanks again to anyone who can help. Jaylynn

Hi Jaylynn,

There are all types of AA type groups, and you might look into group in your community that addresses co-dependency, it may not be as specific to what you may be looking for but it may be a good start.

You might be able get help here:

http://www.mentalhealthamerica.net/go/codependency

or perhaps here:

Hope this helps.

There is a Christian group called Celebrate Recovery in many churches. Maybe you could google it to find out where it is in New Orleans. I am just BEGINNING to get past being in the house for 75%-90% of the time for over the last 20 years and I know how hard it is. Loneliness can eat you up.

Sending this with lots of care and compassion for you.
