Relapse

Post by Team Mom » Sun Feb 20, 2011 11:12 am

I feel like in the past couple of days I've relapsed. Yesterday I had a panic attack and had to take an Ativan. My stomach has an upset feeling again and I've no energy. I finished session 3 about two weeks ago and just stopped because I was feeling better. Now I feel like I've gone backwards. Has anyone had this happen to them and how long did it take to get back on track. Also, when I feel like this my tongue starts to feel tingly had anyone else had this happen? I want to start enjoying life again. I have two kids and can't keep feeling like this.

Hi Team mom

I have recently experienced a relapse! I was doing great and then I noticed some of the old feelings returning which of course caused great concern to me! I thought maybe I was just overtired and waited a few days to recover! The feelings remained and then I started to wonder why! I looked around for anything that was causing additional stress in my life but found none! I finally wondered if my meds were the reason! I called the doctor and he doubled the dosage of my AD and I was good! Now I am back to feeling great once again! I never had the tongue feelings that you experience! Try to ask yourself what could have caused this relapse feeling! Was it due to stress or meds or something else! You will be well once again!

Thank you Pauly J

I was wondering the same thing. What's going on that made these old feelings come back. I found nothing. My therapist has been trying to get me on an anti depressant but so far I haven't been able to tolerate anything I've tried. So, the only thing I'm doing is St. Johns Wart and Ativan when needed. Thanks for your advice. :)

Feeling stomach pain, you can diagnosis and results show whether ulcers or not. I've been on non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and stomach pain occur. Doctor prescribed Misoprostol 200MCG for the prevention of stomach ulcers. Its lowering the amount of stomach acid and protects stomach lining and helps decrease ulcer complications such as bleeding.

Thank you Ammy, but the stomach issue is nausea. I've had a CT-Scan with contrast and an Endoscopy and thank goodness everything was negative. The only thing I can think of is nerves. I was fine until I ate out Friday night so maybe it was also something I ate and it just happend to strike the same day I had a panic attack. Thanks for your advice. :)
