I bought the program and I just started Session 3. I feel that this session is making me a bit more anxious. I'm really trying but feel like I'm in a bad mood most of time, still overanalyzing, worrying, getting very irritable with my boyfriend, feeling very insecure and like I cannot trust him although he really does not give me any reasons not to trust him, I feel he's very good to me, and now to top it off, my hair is kind of shedding a bit...I started taking hair vitamins but I'm just wondering, can anxiety really make the hair get thinner????

my doctor says stress can lead to hair loss. but if you relax, it will get better. there have been a few times over the past several yrs. that this happened to me (for about a week--then it stopped. my hair is very thick now, as always. and no one ever noticed the loss expect me and my roommate (because there was some extra on the floor--no biggie, really.) it just gave me extra incentive to relax.

it's awesome that you've gotten to session 3. it sounds like you're taking it too seriously if you know what I mean. you're still at the very beginning. lesson three is an incredibly deep lesson that you can go back to over and over later on -- but don't push yourself to hard the first time.

Oh boy, I don't really know about that for sure. I would think that it probably could for some people. After women have kids they go through a cycle where their hair can get thinner and they think it's falling out. Babies lately? If not, your hormones could be off whack which could possibly cause the problem with your hair. I think that when you first start any session there is a little anxiety with them. Some may be more than with others but for example, I've just finished the program and it has really brought me a long way, but I feel I need to go through it again and right now I've just started session 2 again, and I still get a little anxious. Learning to deal with these feelings are what the whole program is about. And it's the hardest thing too I know. Just float, accept and get busy. talk with a doctor about your hair and don't dwell on anything. Get answers and move on, that's the best way to get on with it. Remember, this all takes practice and your basically fighting with yourself and dealing with a lot of things, so take it easy on yourself, it is understandable if your irritable. Try to adopt the "whatever" look at things. Don't let it get to you. Best of luck- we're here for you!

Thank you for your comments.
I love this quote:
"If it is once again one against forty-eight, then I am very sorry for the forty-eight." Margaret Thatcher

And also trying to adopt the "whatever" outlook on things.
Reading your comments made me feel better and you're right about the hair, I'm probably the only one who notices. And it does usually stop when I stop stressing over things.
Thank you.

Dear EC1111
I just wanted to say that I am on session 10 but when I went through session 2&3 I found I was extremely anxious and spacey/foggy for some time. I repeated these sessions several times and found that finally the anxiety passed once I accepted the fact I was suffering from this by my own doing and could get over it. It's an overwhelming feeling to face the reality that all the ugly symptoms are self induced.

I too have heard that stress can make your hair fall out but ask a professional to see what the cause is in your case.

Good luck with the program...it really works!

Love,

Barbara
