i just wanted to know if anyone else has prolonged a session....
i am on session three, and i'm supposed to start session four tomorrow, but i don't feel ready yet. i was wondering if it was okay to stay on this session a while longer, or should i go week by week and come back to session three later??? i know there really isn't a right and wrong answer, just wanting to know if anyone else has done this. thank you:)

Hey Laura,
You may have already past this session by now. I
just wanted to tell you that I stayed on session
3 for two weeks before it all sunk in. If you feel like your not ready than do what you feel is best. You know yourself better than any one
else. Also Lucinda brings up the negative thoughts thru out the program. She has you to do
pos. neg. homework in #4 and on Session 7.
I am finishing up with #8. So beyond that I don't know. I hope I'm not "to little to late"
for you. I just know how it feels.
good-luck with everything!

i stayed on session 3 for 5 weeks! i'm just moving on now. I was out of town for a month so i just decided to practice what i had learned from the 1st 3 sessions....and that worked great for me. I had an awesome trip and did things i haven't done in years and actually enjoyed them. sessions 2 and 3 are huge and they lay a foundation for how to deal with the anxiety and panic on a day to day practical level. i think its fine to stay on them for a little extra time if you feel it will help you.

I actually started later than I was supposed to, about the end of Week 1 (on a side note, I wasn't even going to try it b/c my sister basically ordered it for me - until one night I was feeling superbly anxious and threw in the relaxation cd - the effect was enough for me to give the whole program a try:) Anyway, since then have been reviewing all three sessions - although I feel I've been able to get the most use out of Session 3. I too, do not feel ready to move on and will likely stay with Session 3 for awhile. I'm glad to hear that others are comfortable staying as long as they feel necessary in certain sessions. Plus I just ended it with my boyfriend and, serving as a typical trigger, the gates are a' flooding with negative thoughts right now. So I need Session 3 more than ever.

I have also needed some more time this session. I was swamped with company and focused on the first 2 lessons and on noticing the negative thoughts that leaked into my thinking while holidaying. Helped alot!!! Plus I choose not to feel stressed about doing the program on anyone's schedule but my own. I am now going to revist the cd/dvd to get me on track with journaling and the homework.
