Hello everyone,
I just started session 5. The program overall has helped some but there are days when I am extremely anxious. Is it ok to go back and listen to session 3 again even though i am on session 5. I feel like i am so busy and am always crunched with time, and that i need to move on and listen to the session i am on, but session 3 seems to help when i listen to the whole hour. Can anyone relate to this?

Hi Boots....absolutely it is OK to go back and listen to lesson 3. That session, I think, is one of the most important ones. You can't move very far when you are giving yourself the wrong negitive messages and session three teaches us how to give ourselves postive self talk. Key to getting through panic attacks, depression, anxious moments, etc...I found it difficult in the beginning to be compassionate to myself and give myself permission to be anxious and depressed. I needed to go back to Session 3 a few times while I was working on other sessions as well. Good luck with it...and definately go back to any session you feel you need a booster with.

This is something I have wondered too. When to move on.
I have always been a negative thinker. So, session 3 was one that I listened to repeatedly. I did make some progress, which is good, but I am still disproportionately negative in my thinking. I know it takes time...I've spent my whole life conditioning negative responses, the change won't come over night.
But should I move on to session 4? Or should I be feeling tremendously more positive before moving on?
I"ve already started session 4, but it was on a horrible day (yesterday) and I'm not sure if I should be speeding ahead.
Any suggestions?

Hi Rachel 81
I just started session 6. I to am a negative thinker and have a way to go in this area. I would continue on. As you will be asked to revisit #3 in the course. You can go back anytime and review any of the sessions at your leasure. This is a learning process and will take some time. Habits can be hard to break.

Hi Rachel & Boots....I have mentioned this before in another post...I will be repeating these cd's again when I am finished with the program. I got so much out of it, but like with anything, it needs reinforcement and I feel when I redo the cd's, I will gain so much more. I am on lesson 15 and look forward to listening to the cd's again. I'm sure I'll be hearing some things I missed the first time around. Good luck with the program...it is excellent. I am trying to apply the lessons to my life now. It will take time and I have an open ended contract with myself for recovery. I realize recovery is gradual and this will take time. Patience is something new to me and requires lots of practise. Again...my advice would be to listen and relisten whenever at any point of the program. It is there for you use to it's fullest potential.
Enjoy!!
