on the site first time
So, I am just starting session number three. I tried to get on here once, and wasn't able to get to the site, so maybe it was down. Anyway, I am not good at the on-line chatting thing, I am so busy, and I feel like it is a waste of my time for the most part. But....since I am doing a program to try and better myself and change things in my life, I am going to try and be more involved. I love the program so far. I have had anxiety for the last 9 years (I am 29), so I was perfectly "normal" before that and loved to do everything and go everywhere. Now, I can't even drive anywhere by myself and have become agoraphobic for small periods of time. I did counseling when I first found out what I was going through, and actually came out of it pretty well, and was functionable, but still not the same. About a year ago, I went through a very stressful situation and after that my anxiety has been getting worse and worse, every step I go forward I feel I am being knocked 2 back. I saw this program on my television about 8 years ago, and wanted to order it, but didn't have the funds. My New Years resolution was to get MY LIFE back, so I looked up the program and ordered it finally. I am glad I made this decision, and so far, I feel like the program is really helping me find myself again. I hope it just gets better and better.
Re: on the site first time
I've started Session3. And I just made it to the web site. I was unsure about it. But I know it will help me see that I'm not alone. And that I'll be ok. And I can do this. I purchased the program from Barnes & Noble. I had my doubts about the program. But I've had second thoughts. I'm starting to recognize my thoughts and behavior. And how I think. And now I catch myself. Quoting the positive thoughts. I've learned by reading the cards that comes with the program. I carry them everywhere I go now.

Hi Zena, Welcome! You will be able to find the help you need through the program and here. So CJ, you were able to find the program at Barnes and Nobles? Hmmm...I would like to check that out. I was able to get my CDs from my sister who wasn't using them, but definitely should be. They are on loan...eventually she might want to listen to them again. But she has the workbook and book.
