Any advice out there for this experience.
I've been on a few conference calls where I speak to a large group of listeners and get very anxious right when I'm about to speak, so fearful I will forget to say something or how I sound or if I lose train of thought. I do breathing exercises but it doesn't work. My voice gets shaky and my body shakes. I get through it but am diappointed with my performance. I have no problem speaking to some of these people 1 on 1. Any advice....thanks for the support!
Shaky/Nervous Voice During Phone Presentation
I've similar experiences. My pulse rate increases, heart beats faster, and get a sudden nervousness. The thing about my voice is that it gets very soft. I usually cover it up my coughing and clearing my throat, but what I'm really doing is buying time to get myself together. I tell myself ... okay, get ready, speak louder. It wasn't until I started the program that i realized that i was having panic attacks and anxiety. I control it as best i can but it really sucks. Sometimes i think it jeopardizes my credibility, fortunately everyone knows my work and they probably don't even notice what's going on anyway. So advice ... keep your thoughts positive and confident, and you'll survive every time.
