Blood Sugar Levels
Does anyone experience low blood sugar. I don't think I am diabetic although it has almost been a year since I was tested because of shakiness. Today I was very tired when I woke up because I was very stressed about my mom having to go to the er because a medication she was on made her blood sugar go over 500. I stress and am anxious all the time and have panic attacks all the time. Today I felt real shaky so I took my blood sugar and it was 74. I ate but started having panic attacks because I got scared. About 4 hrs. later I started feeling shaky again took my blood sugar and it was 63. I really scared. I don't know if it just being streesed and anxious all day or if there is something wrong. I feel like really hungry even after I eat. Any advice?
I have low blood sugar and get very shaky and sweaty if I don't eat every couple hours. I have to keep snacks in the car and in my purse. You need to get tested to see if that is what it is. You are suppose to eat alot of protein and eat every 2 hours. Good Luck I know how it makes you feel and it is no fun but it can be controlled by your diet.
Hi Rosalie.I experience low blood sugar everday.My doctor said i have hypoglycemia.She recommended me to have a snack(mostly protein)every 2 hours.My doctor recommended yogurt,cheese,egg whites,and peanuts.I still feel hungry after I eat too.Are you eating a full meal or just snacks? You know what we put in our body has a lot to do with the way we feel.Try eating a healthy snack every 2 hours if you can.As with the panic attacks I have them everyday for no reason.My doctor has prescribed me Lorazepam 1mg.I take it when I have a panic attack and it takes about 20 minutes to get in my system and i am completely calm.I try not to depend on it.I just try to float through it.I wish you the best of luck:)
Stress and anxiety will alter your blood sugar levels. Testing your blood samples every day per doctor order will keep you on track.
Being super conscious about WHAT FOODS you eat will keep you stable. Its so difficult nowadays to try to get SUPER NASTURAL WHOLESOME FOodS unless you grow them yourself. A journal of what you eat every day (even though its a pain in the butt) will let you know how your levels fluctuate....but keep in mind YOUR STRESS LEVELS TOO!!!! VERY IMPORTANT ps I am a RN

PSS. Take Time out to pay attention to your bodys needs every day for a whole week...BE SO STRICT DURING THIS WEEK. It will tell you alot.
Document how you feel as soon as you awaken in the morning, after you eat and during the course of the day...also take down what stressors affected you badly, what made you keep thinking about things or worrying,, this plays a big factor in blood sugar alterations.
Keep a menu of what you ate....its tedious I know, but a week of toil could answer a load of questions about your health in general.
