Hi,
Ive been listening to this program for a few days now, and so much of it sounds so right on. But I have a terrible problem with panic attacks, or so I thought. I have had about 6 so far as I can remember. When I get attacks, its more of a fleeting feeling, one woman talked about, she felt like she was going to melt into a puddle. I suppose I can compare myself to that. I have a terrible fear of heart attacks, (I have a heart disease) When my attacks come on, first I feel like my heart is stopping, and I am falling out of my body. Like a car coasting to a stop. I feel really dizzy and have to pull over ( if i am driving ) or drop to the floor, and THEN usually I get a really really fast heart beat, But Never do I feel like I need to run away, infact I feel like I can do nothing but sit there.
Does any one else have similar feelings? This whole thing sounded good, but now I am Feelin a bit uneasy ( Imagine that ) That I am not fitting the norm, Plz help!!+
My attacks Sound Different that whats on the tapes : /
Every person and their bodies react differenly to panic attacks. Have you spoken to a doctor about it? Having a heart disease, I can understand your fear of a heart attack - but panic attacks will not cause a heart attack. You have to try to remember that. Our panic/anxiety are just feelings. Have you tried the relaxation tape? And to be honest, I don't think there is a "norm" for this condition....one way or another it's crappy...but now, with this program, we can attack it!!!

Hi and good morning to all,
I just ran across this thread, and I would like to welcome and encourage you. You are apparently new to this program, and rather than go over all of what I would tell you, I'll just point you to a reply I posted this morning to someone else that is new to the program.

By the time you come back to this post, you may have seen it (the linked thread), and I do hope that when you get through reading it, it will provide you a better understanding on how I see this program, and how I think it will help.
BTW, if you go to the top of any topic's page you will find a button that says notify. You can tell the system to notify you via email of replies to your post or any topic you have replied to or topic(s) you started. If you already knew this, disregard and I apologize.
As you go through many other topics, you may find many answers to your questions and you will soon find out that it is not how you or anyone feels when they are having whatever problems you or they encounter, but what to do or not do about it.
Let's face it, we all have problems that may or may not be similar in every respect, it is more important to know what to do or not do about them. Wouldn't you agree?

What if Thinker - Your attacks are no different than anyone elses. There are probably 100 or more symptoms to anxiety attacks. Yours definitely fall into that category. Rest assured that his program would be very beneficial for you and will open the doors to other wonderful reading material and workshops that will help you along on your journey.
My best to you.
My best to you.
