I know that the people suffering on here are not going to want to hear that I am feeling great, but I am.

On this program I previously got to week 3, stopped and restarted the program. Now I am on week 2 day 2.

One thing I have learned is that week 2 generally makes you feel more stressed and anxious at first. The first time I did week 2 I got more panic attacks and had more anxiety. Part of this step in the program is to learn how to deal with the panic attacks when they come, and to learn how to prevent a panic attack before it becomes a panic attack.

For me the breathing, and the positive self talk is the key. I have also quit caffiene except for 2 cups of decaff a day, I am on my 42 day of quitting smoking, and today I actually felt like I could beat this thing. I am talking daily walks around the park, going to the gym and walking the treadmill, and I started a Tai Chi class!

I know that I must do the homework assignments and do the steps this time for this thing to work. You cannot just read the chapter, listen to the tapes, and expect to magically get cured. You have to do what the program says to do. Practice, practice, practice.

Anyway, I feel great, and I am telling myself that it is going to stay this way.

WOO-HOO!!! I'm so pumped for you SoCalDude! Honestly, I have been feeling more relieved myself and I'm getting towards the end of my 2nd week of the program.
The tapes help me a lot b/c Lucinda herself had once struggled w/ several things that I too am struggling with. The relaxation tapes are awesome too, but I notice I get anxious when I can't fit it 3 times into my day...but I'm trying.
Exercise is already my life, but I've been trying to find dance classes as well to do one or two nights a week to shake it up a bit. Getting active is key!
I've been weening myself off of coffee and diet coke and have been getting some mild headaches in the process. That's no fun but I'll live.
Most importantly I've been trying to keep a positive attitude b/c my attitude makes all the difference, that's for sure.
I really want this program to be it for me, but you're absolutely right, you have to practice practice practice and get yourself out there and involved in your life.
It feels good to be alive :)
