Hi Rosalie,

I have felt exactly what you are experiencing- the trembling feeling on the inside and it used to make me to feel afraid to move a muscle, literally. If I'm not careful I can start it up again by thinking about it. As soon as I think about it and if I let the thought scare me, which it usually does, then the internal shaking feeling starts and I feel more scared which causes me to feel more shaky on the inside- a vicious cycle to say the least. The best way I've found to deal with this is to get my mind on something else. Do something, read, talk to someone-but not about what you're feeling because you need to put this out of your mind. For me at least, I was totally focused on my internal symptoms and nothing else. So I needed to get outside of myself with my thoughts and the scary symptoms would disappear. I hope what I have tried to convey to you isn't too confusing and hopefully may help you in some small way. Take care, Rosalie and God bless!

Rosaslie1,
I understand how you feel - I have experienced anxiety- shakiness - uneasiness that would last for hours if not all day. And like you described, it could cause me to have panic attacks too. I agree with what so many of the other have said - that our bodies are producing too much adrenaline and we need to get rid of it. Exercise, walk, do something no matter how hard it is to get going!!
Also like you, I have had times where I am very concerned about other health issues. It seems easier or more PC to deal with a health issue than anxiety. You can learn to take away the power that this anxiety has in your life...one step at a time.
I would also talk to your doctor about meds, sometimes our bodies need to be physically slowed down. My doctor prescribed xanax to me, but for months I was too afraid to take it. She finally explained to me that it was like not taking pain meds. (If you are in pain and wait too long, the pain meds won't work effectively.) If your anxiety is so prolonged that you cannot calm down, you may need something to help. Although the tape series tells us that the anxious and panicky thoughts won't kill us, they can surely rob us of lots of peace of mind and energy.
Hope you feel better soon!!!
