Always Exhausted

Post by lolita1 » Sun Mar 06, 2011 12:50 pm

Hello everyone,

I am new to the group. I started the program back in september, but never used it. I have officially started to do my work this week. I am tired of constantly feeling tired.I have been blaming everything for my exhaustion except my anxiety. I'm always " about to get a cold" or "allergies" or whatever I can come up with to explain my exhaustion, but the bottom line is that it is hard for me to fall asleep, it is easy for me to wake up in the middle of the night, and i can't sleep past 5:30 am or six. The problem is that after 10:00 am I feel drowsy again, and that happens throughout the day. I have gotten use to going to sleep when I get anxious , but that's not healthy for me either. I hardly ever leave home now, or meet up with my friends. If my boyfriend's not at home to get me moving I won't even shower during the day. How can I stop feeling this way? I want my motivation back.

HI lolita, Many of us feel that way. All I can say it to just take "baby steps" just make the smallest goal that you think you can achieve and do it. You will feel better with the accomplishment. Also, what type of foods are you eating. I find that food high in protein help me out immensely, such as eggs, tuna, chicken, lean ground beef, almonds, walnuts and then add vegetables to that combination. Let us know how you do or what your first baby step might be. Paislee :)

Hi Paislee,

Thanks for replying to my post. I eat proteins a lot. You would not think so judging by the way I feel, but I try to eat healthy. I love roasted-unsalted peanuts, soy beans, veggies, and lean meats etc. My problem really is motivating myself to exercise. I think that will be my first baby step. I find that after a week or two of trying a workout, I get really bored and stop working out completely. I need self motivation, but really don't know how to get it.
