Sheri,

Lesson 3 is the start of dealing with depression. It is a hinge lesson for depression. Master it and hopefully the depression will lift. Tape 3 on deals with skills for depression. Some of the tapes, like the tape with scary thoughts or what if thoughts weren't as applicable for me (primary depression) but, Tape 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and the relaxation tape were dead on in dealing with depression.

I was thinking the same thing when I started on the sessions. I'm on session 11 now and I can see how it is helping any depression. Our self talk and how we feel about ourselves can really bring on a lot of depressed feelings. The later sessions have really helped me with this, so stick with it.

Depression was my main issue as well, and I elt the same way, but the further I advanced in the lessons, the more I saw how inter-related the anxiety and depression are. Plus in the workbook, there is a section in each chapter specifically about depression. I found that helped me a lot too!

Best wishes,
Dawn

good replies all.....iresh, i just turned the anx words around to depression etc/whatever my own issues were, and the principles worked the same. best wishes to you with lesson 3--that was hard lesson for me...it is also ongoing lesson thruout the program, and it is truly key to reprograming our thinking to something better/more realistic/and self comforting and soothing. best to all your efforts going forward iresh ....and alll.
