Problems with Lesson 2
Hi Satu
The part about your boyfriend and exes feels like I wrote it myself. I am married, but I have always been like this. I have a wonderful husband who assures me of his love often, yet I ask questions about women he works with, or used to date, etc. I feel insecure, and extremely sensitive to this topic. I think that until we learn to like ourselves, we will have a hard time. But listen – he is YOUR boyfriend, he chose YOU. I hope that we both will stay with this program (I am on week 2), and see just how special we really are.
Meanwhile know that you are not alone. If you need an ear, I am here.

The first question I asked Stress center when I phoned them to inquire about the program was "Am I mentally ill?" They assured me that I was NOT and guess what, I am NOT! The program has helped me realize the problems and have given me the tools to use to eliminate the thoughts!
What has happened to so many of us is that somewhere in our personal history, someone has made us feel inadequate, small or very insecure. Somehow we accepted this into the depths of our thoughts and then the anxiety is the result. We are deep thinkers, we tend to rethink and rethink even the smallest thing when it is usually not an issue to others. We take something that makes us uncomfortable and then obcess over it. Lesson 2 also provides further information about who or what causes the panic attacks, bad thoughts etc. and the answer is 'it is us'! This is very true! After reading lesson 2 I thought everything through and it was true. 'I' was the cause, I was letting things get to me, 'I' was obcessing and rethnking it all the time. When I realized all this, I started to watch over my thoughts and stop the uneeded junk. The whole answer is in ME! Yes I DO have the ability to stop this vicious circle that tends to bring me back to self doubt, self loathing etc. When you truely look within yourself and start to confirm that you do indeed have self worth, you will begin to stop these thoughts!
If you wish to talk to me further, please leave me a 'Private Message' because I rarely check back on my postings for follow-ups.
I hope this helped,
Take care,
Rod
