Hello All,
I am new, just today actually.
I havent yet purchased this system, does it work? Is it worth it?

Ok.. my question.. I have been on OVERLOAD and anxiety ALL my life (30yr), but since September, major and awful. Death, family, heart palpitaions, panic attacks, allergic reation to celexa, a mess. Anyway, I went and took a breatheing test yesterday and the DR said that I could have Stress Induced Ashtma.
I have a hard time taking a deep breath- or so it feels like to me. I feel like gasping.
Is this an anxiety symptom, or am I such a mess that I am making myself sick!!??

Cindermom,
Actually both, anxiety and panic are often very big contributors to asthma. I have asthma myself.
You need to take action to calm yourself down. Get some deep relaxation CDs and listen to them, exercise vigorusly for at least an hour each day, cut out all caffeine and suger, do deep breathing exercises, aviod negitive self talk & practice positive self talk (it takes practice), drink plenty of water, spend more time thinking about and doing fun things. Things you like to do, like hobbies and recreation. Take charge of your own situation and start making changes today.
Yes, this program works but it also takes work. You didn't get to this point overnight so expect to spend some time and effort to turn it around. Be kind and gentle with yourself. Keep working at it and you will get better.
Meds are not the answer, I wish I had found this course before I started taking them.
You will be fine, God Bless

Hi

I also had a reaction to Selexa - and I also had a breathing test which showed my lungs were functioning below normal capacity.

Since starting the program, I am doing the relaxation exercises daily and find it helps me to focus on my breathing and get a deep breath.

Stress intensifies any type of allergic reaction as it releases more cortisol into your bloodstream and that can aggravate allergies such as asthma. So take a bath, bake cookies, listen and sing really loud to music - get your mind off of the breathing until the panic goes away.

The program is great and I am now taking sertraline and it has been my best winter in many years

Good luck
