Re: Morning Issues

Yes, my anxiety is always worse in the morning and seems to get better in the evening. I've read where this is common. Maybe it has to do with hormones.

Re: Will I ever get my life back?

It is so good to see someone say the same things you have thought but didn't think anyone would understand...will I ever be like myself again? I have had anxiety since I was a child. Sometimes it has gotten extremely bad. I am on medication and have been for over 30 years, but it doesn't always work...

Re: Obsession with heart

Years ago I used to obsess about my heart all the time. I could always hear it beating fast and hard and jumping around like a frog inside me. I thought I was going to die any second. But I am still alive and my heart rate is still high but the heavy beating and jumping around have gotten some bette...

Re: Depressed, can't get much out of Session 4

I too am feeling pretty hopeless. I did session one and two as they suggested (listening to them four times each). Lesson three didn't really apply to me since I don't drink, drink coffee or smoke. I have listened to session four once. I too wonder if those who are succeeding have something that I d...

All-day-long anxiety

Now that I am learning more about anxiety I realize that I have had it for my whole life. I am now in my 60's and am still fighting it. The hardest thing for me when the anxiety gets bad is to be alone in my house. I don't understand it because I have always loved being alone in my house and doing t...

Re: has anyone been like this since early childhood?

Yes, I have had panic for most of my life. I didn't know what it was as a child, I just knew that when I had to do anything in front of people I would get paralyzed with fear. I was afraid a lot in my home growing up. I just started the program. I've had this stuff for so long and so bad that it is ...

Any hope of this program actually working?

I've had anxiety and depression for over 40 years. I have been on every medication there is. I am presently on Effexor and Remeron (made me gain 30 pounds). In the earlier days the medications worked pretty well, but in the last years the medications don't work that well. Life doesn't seem worth liv...

Re: Lorazepam???

I have had depression and anxiety for over 40 years. Sometimes the anxiety has gotten just to great to bear. A few years back my doctor gave me Lorazepam to take when the anxiety got too bad. It helped and I was able to get through the day. Then I would wean myself off it. I haven't taken it for a l...
