Re: Riding my bike

Does anyone else have any activities that they find have helped their anxiety? I have started practicing meditation. I'm doing mostly guided meditations right now, but I am loving those!

Re: Riding my bike

I just got a bike for my birthday, and we have been going on really long (4 hour) bike rides on Sundays, and then doing a couple shorter ones throughout the week. It is great! It gives me a good, active feeling all week long. We also have started doing yoga regularly. We do the P90X version, so it's ...

Re: I was doing so well - now I need help!

Oh, I had the exact sam reaction to Jan's story. I was doing great until I heard that, now I feel like I've taken a step backward. I'm sure that is a big part of recovery though, two steps forward, one step back, but just keep on pushing through it. The positive self talk is definitely a challenge. ...

Re: Constant Low Level of Anxiety/Negative Thoughts

Oh boy, can I ever relate to that. Worrying about potential health, pariularly heart, problems seems to be the driving factor beind my anxiety. Under Pressure

Hello, everyone! I've noticed during this past week that my anxiety is at its worst when I am at work, and I have a lot of things that I need to get done quickly. I've noticed that trying to concentrate on my breathing during that time helps a bit, but I was wondering if anyone else has similar prob...

Re: Heart palpatations-help

Mine are much worse around that time of the month as well. In fact, I'm currently undergoing a series of tests from my OBGYN to try to figure out what is causing them. Are these seriously just from anxiety???

Re: Anxiety at Night

My anxiety is also at its worst during the night. I've found that listening to the relaxation CD right when I get into bed, helps me fall asleep. Unfortunately, it doesn't make me stay asleep. I wake up at night often in a full blown panic. I have no idea what causes that. I think I'm afraid of waki...
