New Sports Commitment!

Hello everyone! Recently I have decided to join the swim team at my high school, which is a huge commitment! I know that I am a very skilled swimmer and I have confidence in myself that I will do good, but it's so much work! I'm not afraid of work because I take AP and Honors classes, but I am a lit...

Re: Suggestions for Panic Attacks at Night?

I used to have panic attacks at night all the time. I don't know what it is but at night, EVERYTHING seems so much worse than it actually is. Just remember that. It always helped me to get a drink of water and eat yogurt! I know it's really weird but it helped me the most!! I hope this helps. :) -PF

Safe Person

Hello everyone! Recently, my mother has gone to visit her dad who lives out of state for a week because he is not doing well. So it's just me, my dad, and our family pet at home and I'm feeling a bit anxious! My mom has always been my "safe person" and though i have come a loooong way from using her...

Re: CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN PANIC AND ANXIETY TO ME

To me, panic attacks are episodes of uncontrollable feelings of fear and body symptoms. I felt like I had to run to my safe place and safe person. But when I had anxiety episodes that lasted all day, like yours, I did not experience the panic symptoms like I described above. I just felt this feeling...

Almost Graduated!

So I am on session 13 now and I am almost done with the program! I am experiencing so much less anxiety than before and when I do have panic attacks or anxious feelings, I know how to handle it. I feel like I should not be having as much anxiety as I am having. I have an anxious time about 4 times p...

Re: Anyone???

It's like we're related or something!! That has been my number 1 fear for 3 years! I'm not so worried about it anymore though! :D But I had never passed out before I was just so afraid of it! To this day, I have never passed out and I found out that it is a pretty rare thing to do! Don't worry about...

Re: anorexia & emetophobia.

Hi Eniee, I do not have an eating disorder myself but I had a friend once that did. She felt the same way that you did, and did not like to eat in front of other people. She finally stopped eating at school, and only ate in her house. We convinced her that she had to get over this, and she did! She ...

Accomplishment!

I did something that I gave been struggling with a couple of months a few days ago. Since I am in high school, my friend and I joined the track team. I was excited at first, but then a few days into the season I started having panic attacks at practice. I would fear passing out since the pract...

Re: me

I know you posted this a very long time ago, but just remember, NO MATTER HOW BAD THINGS ARE, EVERYTHING WILL ALWAYS PASS. Try to have a serious talk with her and explain to her how you are feeling. You may want to go to therapist or a counselor. I hope everything is better since then but I also hop...
