Speaking to yourself with Respect

I was just reading through the workbook and saw "learning to speak to yourself with respect". It was one of those light-bulb moments for me as my self talk is not respect to me or others. I'm a very judgmental person about others and I'm awfully judgmental about myself. While I would never verbally ...

Re: Back Again...

Chris - Thank you again and especially for the passage. I am indeed a christian. During the past 8 mos I've drifted away quite a bit from church. I was nervous to go into the sanctuary as I felt like I couldn't relate to others. Within the past two weeks I rejoined my wife in the service...kind of i...

Re: Hi Im new!!

rosebus - Hang in there. Taking action is the first step to getting better. I have dealt with anxiety and depression my whole life. I have also been on Prozac, Cymbalta and am now on Lamictal and Buspar. I thought I dealt with medication well but several of the more recent drugs I've tried have also...

While I've done a good job in managing my finances, live in a much nice...

Back Again...

So I used this program perhaps 5 years ago and I got better. Over time though I slipped back into my old self. I see a psychiatrist once a month who has helped with my depression but my anxiety is still out of control. I also see a therapist every other week who has been helpful as well. For some re...

Re: Post Vacation Anxiety

THH, How do or did you work around the planning/financial obsession? Are you still struggling with that? Do you have a daily routine, exercise or other aid that allows helps you to turn items over to God? Although I am a christian and believe in God, perhaps I do not have enough faith in Him. I stro...

Post Vacation Anxiety

For several of the past years, my wife, kids and I have taken an week vacation to visit family out of state. We generally have a great time and do several fun activities. We keep the vacation within our budget and do activities that are within our means. By no means is this an extravagant vacation. ...
