When they say 4-6 weeks, do they mean 4-6 weeks on a FULL dose?

I weaned up to a full dose of Lexapro, but have only been on it for 8 days now and still feel....ehhhhh....should I wait about a month and THEN see how I feel before going back to my doc?

I'm finding it hard being at work and trying to ignore the negative garbage that comes out of people around me. It's very narrow-minded and ignorant and I find it "disrupts" me when I'm just trying to work and concentrate and not have any negative thoughts of my own!

I realize that I don't have 300 or more DIFFERENT thoughts a day...I have like the same 10 or so that occur over and over...so when I write them down, it doesn't look like much, but considering how often I have the same thought, I guess it is.

I spoke to my doctor, pharmacist and therapist and all agreed for me to stop...that there are other ways I can try to cope with this anxious episode. Now I just have to wait for the crap to get out of my system

I just started my ADs (lexapro) on Friday. Ended up in ER tonight because of bad panic attacks upon waking (racing heart, buzzing feeling, etc). They sent me home after determining nothing was really wrong and it's a side effect of starting.

I have been making sure I get out and walk...even just STARE out the window. Let you eyes stretch and soak in some light. I just realized that my two majore anxiety/depression bouts have been this time of year and I HATE coming to work in the dark and leaving in the dark!

I'm here at work and you are right; I keep reminding myself it's just anxiety and I've been through it before and will get through it again. I did have to quit my job once over it about 10 years ago, but that was before I knew what was going on with me.
