I have this problem, too. With me, it's the lighting in most stores. Florescent lighting and me don't get along well. I think my eyes are super sensitive to light. What I do is find a spot to sit and collect myself for a couple of minutes and then get up and keep going. It helps.

There's a halfway decent memoir out about this same kind of thing. It's called Passing for Normal by Amy Wilensky.

KarenLeigh,

Carrie Underwood's song "So Small" was exactly what I was thinking of before I opened your post. It's nice to know that it's also inspirational for others.

No reason to be embarassed, cuttingirl. If you're gay, straight, or bisexual, then that's what you are. I'm a lesbian who didn't realize she was a lesbian until she was 19 years old. A little late by some people's standards, but I really don't care about other's standards. When I came into conscious...

Thanks, all! I have started this program, but right now, I am working through the Mind Over Mood workbook. It's wonderful! I may one day return to this program, which is why I am keeping it and still paying for it! Thanks for all of the positive feedback, and I wish everyone a lot of luck in overcom...

Hi, Steph! I can relate to your story about your parents. I turn 32 in November, so it sounds like we are going through somewhat of a parallel experience. My dad is 62 years old and was kind of forced to retire several months ago because he did not have the money to get a stress test. He needs the s...

Hi, all! It's been awhile since I've been posted or even been on this site. I think I have finally found the right combo of meds that help out a ton!! I am taking 120 mg Cymbalta (1x a day), 1 mg Clonazepam (2x a day, although I try only to take .75 mg in the morning because I have a long drive to w...

Thanks for your replies, pecos and formyboys! I really appreciate it! I do go see my doctor on Thursday, and I plan to mention this to him. So far, it has not gotten to the point where it is all day long, and I can't even keep water down. That's a really scary experience, so I'm trying to nip this t...

Hi, all! I usually don't do this publicly because I feel strongly that my spiritual life is a private affair. However, I am reaching the end of the rope and finding it really hard to hang on. Here is my situation. Forgive me if the post is a little long. I live with parents. My mom is 51 and my dad ...
