I've been reading a really good book titled "Living Fully w/ Shyness and Social Anxiety" by Erika Hilliard, MSW, RSW. It is a very good self help book for those who see ...

I am officially starting over the program from session 3 on. I stopped at around session 6 or 7 due to lack of motivation and laziness. It's funny how everything I gained in the first few weeks of following the program I lost and actually have gotten worse. Lucinda was right about progress, it's a 1...

Well last few weeks has been really wierd to me. It seems as though there is a gray cloud hovering over me. I know it's not anything serious or severely depressing. I know for sure it isn't positive or uplifting. I've just been at this low level of energy for quite some time now and it's starting to...

Here's a little exercise for some of you who care to participate. I've started this session yesterday. It's been 3 full weeks since I've started the program and I have changed significantly. At this point, my self confidence and esteem has increased. I feel like I can take on almost anything. I stre...

I find that floating with it and knowing that it will pass always comforts me. Distraction helps out a lo...

Fixme, I fear that my wife would leave me if I don't "fix" my social phobia as well. She too is very very outgoing. So much so, that I avoid going to social events with her. It really bugs me how easy she makes it seem to be.

Hang in there! I wish the best for you in your current life situation.

Hello Nanaof4, Be strong and have faith in yourself. Remember the positive self dialog and the importance of distraction. I know it seems easier said than done, but it can be done and it has worked for many people out there. I feel the same way where I'd rather stay in than go out to take my lil gir...
