Hi Rick,
I used to drink about three to four cups of coffee a day, and my heart rate was always fast even when I was not at the Dr.'s office. Now I am pregnant and I must watch it not only for my baby's sake, but for my own because when I consume that much coffee I get really anxious. I now just drink Decaf and once in a while if I'm really tired I will make a coffee with just a tiny bit of caffeine, but mostly decaf. I still have panic episodes once in a while if I go into a stressful event, but that constant anxious feeling is gone because I cut down on the caffeine. You should try. Start slowly though, if you do it too quickly you will have one major headache.

Try decaffinated Chai lattes! It almost tastes as good as coffee! I miss the smooth taste so much, but the Chai is an acceptable substitute for me.
